Years ago I found a Model 58 that was still new in the box in the Used Gun case of a local gun shop. I think they put it in there just because there probably was little interest in it and it was just taking up space in the New Gun case. I think it was priced around $275 and I quickly put it on layaway. It was in perfect condition and had a very nice DA/SA trigger on it. Had it for a number of years until in it a moment of extreme foolishness I traded it away for a 9mm. semi-auto.

You traded Smith 58 for a 9mm? This thought alone will give me nightmares.

Ah man just reading about that gave me an ulcer. I feel your pain dude since I've been in that situation more times than I care to remember lol. Sometimes I'm an idiot .
I've always been fascinated with the model 58 and 41 mag. Just seems like a great combo. I've only held and shot a M58 once and that was at a gun range about 20 yrs ago that a very nice guy let me shoot a few rounds through. It made an impression to say the least. Pricing is ridiculous on them now and ammo is non existent. It's a shame.

Probably best to just try to forget it, I'm sure bannockburn re-lives that day often enough as it is.
Don't think I'll mention some of mine now.

A S&W Model 58, stainless with a 4" barrel, Novak LoMount rear sight and gold bead front sight, round butt configuration, and lose the lock.

That sounds like a nice behind the back 'security blanket' in bear country.

More 9mm revolvers. Especially like the LCR's.

Local joint has an SP101 in stock in 9mm. Apparently they are making them again. Always wanted one, debating. Always knew I’d buy one someday and here’s my chance and I dunno. I have one in 357 and carry an auto 9mm...

But want and need are different things for sure. They are making them blued again in 357, if this 9mm was blue I’d have already gotten it. I may still

Someone talk me into it haha

All I can say is that my Taurus 692 in .9mm is more fun than a 2.5" revolver has any right to be. I can't see an sp101 being any less enjoyable.

Ah but it wasn't just for any old 9mm.; it was for a Benelli B76. This gun fascinated me to no end but at the time I didn't have any cash to buy one so it was all about making a trade to get something new. At the time I also had a Model 57 with a 4" barrel so I could rationalize it from that standpoint besides I could always find another Model 58.

Yeah right!

That along with every Ruger Security, Service, and Speed Six I ever had and traded away!

Tolkat in 22 hornet or 22 savage HP. That 30 carbine sounds nice too, ill take one of those too.

A .410 revolver that looks like a SAA and fires only 2" mini .410 that Aguila magically started making. Five shot for slimness with a 4" smoothbore barrel and SA only. Osage Orange Bisley grips. Black hard chrome finish.

C96 in 10mm, capable of holding 10+ in the mag

Please don't banish me to the BP board, but, you guys said revolver and I want a quality reproduction Kerr.

.and that hi cap Ruger .30 Carbine would be nice.

For what its worth a "normal" Ruger .30 Carbine BH "Combo" with the spare cylinder set up for .327 Mag and down/.32ACP would be nice as well.

I'll take one too. Actually, any good double-action cap-and-ball revolver would be pretty cool. I know someone used to make Starr double action (okay, self-cocking) revolver reproductions, but I don't think they do anymore.

A 7-shot K frame S&W in .327 with a 5" no-lug barrel would be cool.

A 4" 5-shot .50 Special...maybe on a Redhawk frame.

a 6-shot .41 Special L-frame in 4 or 5".

(I like the mid-barrel lengths I guess.)

Stay safe.

I keep trying to think of a Ruger that has not already appeared as a Lipsey’s, Talo, or other special edition, to satisfy the “not yet made” factor. There are several that I would like to see re-appear, in another production run.

Hmm, perhaps a Ruger Stainless Blackhawk Bisley Hunter, .357 Magnum? I know of the usual .44 Mag, and the limited .45 Colt and .41 Mag, but do not remember seeing .357 Magnum.

I would ask for S&W to make a stainless steel 8-3/8” .357 Mag revolver, L-Frame, with the user-replaceable front sight blades, but I know it would have a keyhole, so, no, I will not ask.
