Tikka rings/ mounts?

on my two tikka,s i use the factory rings with no problems at all.

I'm using a Game Reaper mount. No issues.

I'd go with DNZ for a larger scope (cause they are bulky, and make small scopes look wierd) or if desiring a cant.
If going with a smaller scope, then I'd go Talley.

No thing wrong with the Leupy rail and vortex ring combo either.

For some reason "DNZ" always escapes me, and all I remember is the "Game Reaper" part. Do you really think they're bulky though? I've always thought the opposite. I suppose the ring sections are a little thick, but figured that's what it takes to use aluminum alloy instead of steel.

Bulky was probably to lazy a description. The rings are...... sticky out?
They have relatively normal width bands, but project a ways off the scope tubes all the way around, which gives them a "bulky" look. Weight wise they are fairly light, and are excellent mounts.

Again that could just be to my eye, but I don't really like them (on sporting style guns) with sub 40mm objectives, or really compact turrets.

I don't see why not. Though you may want to read some reviews on it before you buy. At the end of the day, it's just a mount to hold the scope on the rifle. I've had a couple now and had no problems with them.

You'll need to check the scope tube diameter and maybe read up only mount height and clearances. Mine is a 1" diameter and I'm pretty sure it's the 'low' version. It's holding a 2-7x32mm Nikon Prostaff and I don't think would have clearance for a 44mm objective lens, but might work with a 40mm.

I went with warne rings that fit the integrated dovetail. Fits my 2-7x35 great, I could probably squeeze a 3-9x40 on with the same rings.

I bought the rifle used and did not come with the factory rings.

I agree, I think they would be a good match.
We went with mediums for the 50 on my buddies T3x, and it was tight. They do have the numbers available if you can take the measurements from the scope and rifle.

I use Warne rings. They met my stringent requirements when looking for a set of rings, which were as follows:

(1) They must be scope rings
(2) Should hold the scope securely
(3) Must look super cool
(4) Cost less than the rifle

They have done all those things without issue, except for looking only sorta cool. Needless to say, I’ve been pleased with them.

I mounted scopes on Tikka’s at least once a week, usually more, from 2014-2016. I hate the OEM rings that came with them. They are prone to stripping more than others and to my eyes they just look flimsy. I used a torque screwdriver so I didn’t strip any screws but we had customers bring them back frequently with stripped screws when the customer tried to mount a scope themself.

To be fair though once I got a scope mounted using OEM rings I don’t recall having any come back due to failure. I still hate them but some of the hate is due to perception trumping reality. To my eyes they look like they could fail any second, but they don’t.

I have experience with Warne, Leupold and Talley rings for Tikka. They work equally well IMO. I’m sure the DNZ are just as good.

Another vote for Warne Rings. They are precisely engineered, sturdy, easy to install, ...oh and like Bobson says they look super cool and cost less then the rifle...actually the finish looks great and are very reasonably priced. Some scope rings have become ridiculously over-priced.

Warne are okay. Though I did have to take a mallet to one ring half of the last set I bought. They may be precisely engineered, but that one was bent out of shape and painted too much. It still worked fine once I got it rounded out, but it's not very impressive quality.

Mount enough scopes and you’ll see less than perfect rings and bases from all of the major players. I’ve seen them from Warne, Leupold and Talley. I’ve not seen any from DNZ and Burris but suspect it’s because I’ve mounted many fewer scopes with them than I have the first three.

They no longer supply rings anyway. I had no issue with the factory rings after replacing the factory screws with better ones from a hardware store. Cost about $3 for 6 new screws. After that they worked as well as anything. Not the most aesthetically pleasing.

Since the action is enclosed on the top I went with a rail and Burris rings. But really any ring you like should be fine.

If you want to keep the scope low be careful what rail you buy with a shorter hunting scope the objective will hit the rail.The last Tikka I put a scope on I used Burris XTB two piece and Warne horizonal rings lows.The scope was a Meopta 3.5-10x44 .10 to .15 clearance above the barrel.The DNZ is probably a fine mount I just don't like the looks of them.

I've had really good luck with the Talley one-piece mounts on both Tikka's as well as other rifles.
