New reloader here. Based on reading posts here I’ve decided to load my first batch using some unique I have on hand but I also have multiple jugs of wideners commercial pistol powder. Where can I find load data for this powder? My books don’t have it and the label only lists three loads. What is this best used for? I’ll be loading a number of calibers as I get into it so I can use it where it’s recommended. The loads will be for practice range loads. Starting with pistol calibers.

Sorry for the duplicate post. First post and had connection trouble as I posted.

No. I flipped thru their webpage and didn’t see anything leading me to an answer. But now you mention it I’ll go to their contacts and send an email. I’ll post any reply I get on the thread (and the duplicate with a slightly different title).

According to wideners they haven’t carried it for four years. My brother purchased it a little before that. Wideners says it was actually surplus produced by St Marks so check with them for load characteristics. I’m trying to reach out to them next but it appears they don’t sell to the general public so we will see how far I get.

yes, that’s 16lbs pictured. I really hope I get to use more than the three calibers/bullet weights listed.

I can't quite make out the load data posted on the label.
Could you post it?
That would give half a clue, maybe less, as to what might be a similar powder.

Better picture uploaded. Right now I have 124gr for my 9mm to load. I plan on loading 9x18 after that and then some .38. Probably .45 or .32 after that before i move to rifles. If my .45 bullets are 230gr I can use the label but not much help other than that. I took a reloading class 10 years ago but otherwise this is my first attempt so I plan to be cautious and methodical. I have a few pounds of unique and bullseye so I can get by but I’d like to use up some bulk powder.

Appears to be somewhere between HS-6 and AutoComp. But personally, I'd use it only for loads very much like those on the label unless I found additional actual data for that specific powder elsewhere.

I’ll get the bullet weight to match the label next time and consume what I can by the label. For now I have other powders I can use for the other weights and calibers but it would be nice to track down some data since I have 2 jugs.

Google foo shows it was discussed on this forum in 2008. Just not much info available.
