Looking To Replace My Current EDC Pistol

Personally, I think the current striker fired EDC comes down to three firearms. I’m sure some will disagree but these are the three I’ve been telling new shooters or shooters looking to switch for various reasons to consider before moving on to something else. I choose the G48 for carry as my carry weapon is a tool and should be utterly reliable and have good controllability and capacity, the Glock for me did all these admireably. I have access and have shot the Sig and Springfield and liked the feel in the hand better in the Springfield but shot the Sig better. I shoot the G48 better than both however, but probably due to shooting Glocks a lot more. They are all excellent choices now that the kinks have been seemingly worked out of the Sig. Everyone will tend to recommend the brand/model they choose, so always take that into account and keep and open mind and choose what is best for you. But these three below are a great start in your choice.

Glock 43x/48: change the magazine catch to aluminum and run SA15 magazines. Slim, very controllable, Glock reliability, and great capacity at 15 rounds or 10 with the OEM magazines.

Sig P365/P365xl: Thin, good capacity, easy shooter. I almost was purchasing this until there were early issues with the strikers and failure to return to battery. I’m sure and have seen that this has all been resolved so really not an issue anymore.

Springfield Hellcat: Good feel to the grip more of a squared off grip, good capacity, good shooter, I prefer the trigger on the Glock and Sig more. Reliability from the start on the Hellcat had been good.

After looking at the holster company websites that Spats McGee provided, I was able to determine that the High Noon company makes the configuration that I'm interested in-the "Sky High" model (a "pancake" style, leather, owb holster having a thumb-break retention-and a lined interior [which I prefer] at extra cost). Anybody know much about this company or has had any experience with their products? Thanks for any input, advice or recommendations.

I'm planning on replacing the pistol I carry concealed every day (a Smith Model 6906) for something lighter, flatter and thinner-but for one that's just as reliable. I like hammers and safeties on pistols I carry close to my body. At this time, I'm considering the SA Model XD-E, the Ruger Model SR 9c and the SIG Model 365. Though a hammer is not essential, a manually operated safety is. Also, for capacity reasons, the pistol has to be chambered in 9mm Luger.

Finally, I want a quality IWB holster with a thumb-break to carry the pistol comfortably concealed in.

Thanks for any comments, opinions and especially inputs from those that might have experience with the pistols in question. Recommendations for other candidates sharing the same features are also welcome.

The XDE is my less clothing carry choice. It shoots well conceals when and is reliable.

Based on all the replies thus far, it appears as though I will have to do without an iwb holster having a thumb-break and settle for one that features a good friction retention system.

Pick your gun, then see if you can find a Bianchi Pistol Pocket to fit. They are available on eBay. Just sayin'.
