Prepped my 223 brass, cleaned, trimmed, decampped, swage and full length sized, I thought I would run the brass through the full length sizing die during the loading process, however, the brass seemed as though it had never been resized, anyone else experienced this?

I'm not sure I understand your question! If you decapped each case that means that they have been fired. The resizing step returns the fired case to SAAMI spec's. The head will almost always require "resizing" that means the last 1/4 inch or so! The case neck and shoulder also get resized but I' m not sure that offers much resistance. Now if you are referring to whether or not the case stretched that isn't always a certainty!

Smiles,

Any time you run a bottleneck through a standard sizing die the neck gets sized down again, and expanded again. That might be what you are feeling/sensing.

Why would you even consider running full prepped & F/L resized brass again through a F/L die? The cases that gave you the issue, were they still lubed or had the lube been cleaned off after the first F/L sizing?

If the cases were dry (unlubed) that is your problem.

You can use a case gauge or a comparator to see it you correctly F/L resized the cases the first time they went through the F/L die.

Sounds work hardened, recommend you anneal after this thread then report back.

I'm a little confused by the order you're using. I run my rifle brass through a tumble, lube, resize/decap, and only then do a trim after it's been resized. My trimmer works off the shoulder though, so it's important to be resized first.
