Beautiful, a gold insert of some sort would set them off perfectly. I cast a pair of grips for my Ruger Vaqueros and inset these tops from a pair of cuff links. (see attached)

I agree, those do look nice. We'll see what I can do

That set looks too professional. You bought them, didn't you? C'mon, fess up. ;)

That set could start you out in business if you want to go that route. My opinion but it's the only one I have.

Nice. It’s a “Colt” so the rampant Colt on either side of the, what ever the area at the top of the grips are called, would certainly fit.

Well actually it is always properly referred to as a Colt’s, not a Colt.

Colt’s 1911, Colt’s Single Action Army, etc. is the correct way.

I know some folks who will argue to their death that a Mustang is a Ford's Mustang, not a Ford Mustang.
I just cant see how anyone can get so riled up to take a last stand either way.

Ok so if I had me a set of grips made from a Buffalos horn for my Colts 1851 Or even my Colts Walker or Colts 1860 I’d be inclined to install a Colts logo of a Rampant Colt. :)

I have read your other posts and you don't refer to a Remington's 870, nor a Ruger's MKIV, nor a Springfield's Hellcat, et al.

I guess it's all about semantics, eh?

Shows us some of your BP firearms.

Jim

As much as I love semantics this is not really the place.

If anyone knows where to get slabs wider than 2" that would be appreciated. I really need like an extra 1/4" or so. I took off some metal on the grip of this one to fit it completely IMG_20201009_202958.jpg

I never liked Buffalo Horn very much when I saw it on an SAA but on an 1851 Navy it looks good. It must be the contrasting color of the brass grip frame. Those look awesome.
