Nice line-up! If I had my druthers I would go with the Model 36 with the 3" heavy barrel. Back in the day when you couldn't find a snubby you could usually pick up a lightly used Model 36 like yours for around $125 to $150. Always liked they way they felt and balanced thanks to the extra length of the heavy barrel.

Ok you guys/gals are making me realise I need to up my revolver game. Only have two currently.

Don't fret it. I only have three.
A Ruger GP-100 in .357 Magnum.

A S&W in .32-20.

And a Ruger Single Six in .22 and .22 Magnum.

p.s. There is a 4th revolver but it is over 100 y.o. and mechanically unsound so it is permanently retired.

Let's See Your Revolvers!!!

Hello everyone,

I was beginning to get real sick of coming to this forum and not being able to post anything because I wasn’t a member :cuss:....but as of today I'm a new member of this wonderful forum :D. Now I was just wondering if you all would like to share some pictures of your revolvers? I know I have posted this same thread on a couple of other sites but I thought posting it one more time here wouldn’t hurt ...Thanks in advance and take care ;).

My stepfather is a retired Chief of Police and FBI Academy graduate. He is a slight fellow with nerves of steel and cajones the size of bowling balls.

His first LEO job was as the Town Marshall of Potlatch, ID in the early 70's. Johnny cash played there and referred to it as the toughest town he ever played in. The rottenest bunch of red neck loggers you'd ever come across.

Dad figured he'd need a sidearm that was intimating and commanded respect just at the sight of it. This was his duty weapon...

And his dad was a simple farm boy from Southern Idaho who enlisted in the Army in WWII to go kill Nazis. He ended up in North Africa and then Italy as a tank commander and one of the folks that the movie "Fury" was based on. His sidearm was a S&W M17 in .45 ACP that he carved custom grips for out of the windscreen of a downed German plane. Though his preferred sidearm was the 1911. Dad now has that revolver...

That's awesome. Doesn't get much more intimidating than that. And truly on of a kind custom grips on the 1917. Amazing keep sakes.
