Rossi best revolver? The 720

Anyone have, shot or know about these.

I have a 1994 Rossi 720c (fixed sites) 44 Special. The gun was new when I took possession of it. That's been many many cylinders ago. Actually 20 years ago. This weapon is butter smooth with the trigger. Great combat distance accuracy 20yrds in.
100% reliable. I shoot 200grn lead I roll myself. And carry Underwood 200grn full wadcutters for defense. This is a ccw piece.

I am a big fan of the .44 Special and have 44s in S&W, Colt, Ruger, Taurus and Charter Arms and I’m aware of the 720. Never even seen one but would probably like to have one, however, occasional searches always come up empty. Must be pretty uncommon.

I use Missouri Bullets 200g rnfp and Penn’s 188g wadcutters for plinking and target loads.

Nice. Passed on one a couple years ago and been kicking myself for it ever since. I did however come across a Taurus 431 that fit the bill at the time.

Owned a 971 in 357. Shot the snot out it. Not a single hiccup. Carried it for work, woods. Wish I still had it.

I've got one. I purchased it not too long ago. I've always wanted one. It is a quality piece, maybe not quite Smith level but close enough. The DA-only trigger may not be the lightest, but it is smooth and consistent. I plan on CCW'ing it after I finally get around to shooting it...

Far from the best but it’s one of the more liked varieties. The best is easily the cyclops 8”

I've never had one, but years ago, I thought the Rossi was a MUCH nicer gun than Taurus.

Then Taurus figured, if you can't beat 'em, buy 'em. I don't know what Rossi quality was like after the acquisition.

I have long wanted a 720 but the stars have not (yet) aligned.

Until they do, I will keep making do with my 24Feb89 3" RB 629-1 (I now shoot mostly .44spl thru it) and pair of 2014 CA Bulldogs.

A S&W model 69 would also be nice.

Same here! Saw one at the local gun shop and could have bought it for a very decent price. Thought to myself: "it will probably be here for awhile; no rush to get it". Came back a week later and it was gone.

Inherited mine from my grandpa. I enjoy it. Its not massive like a 44mag and its only 5 shots so the cylinder is a touch smaller. Definitely a great winter CCW.

No, its not a colt or smith, but it is a well built gun.

Here it is, paired with a KOA Yukon belt knife
