Action shooting - 3 gun/multi gun/USPSA/IDPA/etc. post your videos, discuss techniques & gear

Thank you. Now you make me feel bad for being snarky.
But I really do like to hear the gunshots while watching your movements. It helps me learn.
And congrats on losing the weight, that's a major accomplishment.

Wow great rhythm Sr.
Let me share with you I went my local IPSC match after who knows how many years.
When I finished they thanked me for saving the paper target, since I hit non.
Kidding a side great time.

First stage was a bit ugly but other than that had a good day

I would say a great stage, even I don't your time it sound a good cadence.
Keep it up.
Hopefully this week end is my turn.

So no pulling/pushing of trigger with this pistol?
Not that I notice.

Here's a recent match with M&P CORE/RMR in "race" division (Apex FSS sear/trigger means I can't shoot in "stock optics" since they changed the rules this year). 2nd place in Race division, 5th of 43 overall

Got a special delivery of brass grips and basepads from Patriot Defense this week. The extra weight definitely deadens recoil a bit but has affected my timing somewhat. I showed up at the match without having had a chance to test fire it at all but it went ok. Ended up 2nd overall by about 2%

It will take few trips to the arena to get used to. However, I see no hiccups how did you do in gral.

One of the local ranges updated their facility and built a bunch of wide, 50 yard bays. It was nice to get to use them once before I move away. Last match in PA before becoming florida man

Found a weekly indoor match in Florida that has been pretty fun. This sunday I'll venture out to my first outdoor USPSA in the sunshine state up in Clearwater, but I'll have to shoot limited since I just broke one of the screws off flush in my optic mount and need to send it to get repaired.

I feel more tactical just from watching that.
LOL you're welcome!

What I learned was:
Plate carriers with just plates, no problem, not too heavy.
add 5 AR mags, 2 pistol mags, and some medical... not as much fun LOL

@Corpral_Agarn is that a 226? Are you riding the slide lock lever with your thumb, maybe?
It's a 226 Legion SAO RX that I swapped the slide from my usual P226 (to fit into division)

And yes, I ride that slide lock lever sometimes. I don't know where the habit came from, but i know I do it pretty regularly.

It's something I haven't taken the time to train out of my shooting.

The reason you ride it is because Sig p22x ergos are trash and they put the lever in the exact place where your thumb belongs.

Yep, I carried a stainless 226 for years and the slide would never lock back on empty mags because of my grip and thumb position. I wasn't going to change my grip to fit the gun so I just dealt with it.

First outdoor match in Florida, overall win, but all the big boys were next door shooting nationals so that part isn't much of an accomplishment
