troy fairweather: our contract for the last several years, with a highly-rated, excellent local Heating/Air company prevents problems. Worth every penny.
They have a biannual routine inspection and the contract cost covers a repair if needed. Memphis-area company.

Allows much more time to do amateurish tinkering. This has allowed me to make black plastic gun furniture appear to be wood: used some "Retique It", then stained with Minwax (oil-based) Red Mahogany. Multiple days of drying, but works.
Also helped Google/Youtube education on properly sanding (use 120 grit etc), before staining true wood furniture on guns.

Ks5shooter: that looks like either a party-size Japanese hibachi cooker, or an alien ship (for midgets) which had been created to be disguised among "East German" factories.

View attachment 951473 View attachment 951478 View attachment 951479 However I did do siding and windows myself on the house this year. Which keeps Mrs. Ks5 pretty content and understanding about my hunting.
Those are some well trained dogs to guard that house all day and night lol.i'd rather do the siding and window over furnace work.

I've been doing work at my dads every time I'm up the last few years, pretty much have a new house and yard with the in ground pool. We were going to do a full with porch this year but corona. He needs to put some money a side for a new lathe and mill hehe.

I feel your pain. I have given up doing most repairs myself. Age and arthritis. Finding a good reasonable repairman is priceless. My AC and furnace both needed work this year. I pretty much have to do my own work on motorcycles and other stuff though. My last one is up for sale.

Major remodel stuff this summer and general fixings (furnace included) kept me from deer hunting this year. I may still go out chasing elk, but that season is getting close and I still have a huge list!

Life is just busy sometimes, and it's best to just roll with it, otherwise you exist in a stressed out state. And that ain't good for anyone!
