Of course the vast majority of votes from THC will be for yes. I would love to see every state allow constitutional carry. But there will always be a battle waged by those who want stricter gun laws. I am in Colorado which is rapidly becoming California East. I am thankful at this point to still be able to get a carry permit.

Hello, Colorado. Good to hear your voice. I believe things will be changing more in your 2A direction in the near future

It will never happen; not as long as folks like Pelosi, Schumer and similar folks rule the roost and are from two of the largest population states in the country. This becomes a fantasy thread of wishful thinking; just like national reciprocity.

My thoughts go along the lines of "An armed society is a polite society".

Here in SE Pa, (not the Philadelphia cesspool), we have signifigantly fewer firearm related crimes than Trento or Camden NJ, which is a few hundred yards away, just across the Delaware River. Kind of says if the bad guys are the only ones with guns they tend not to be shy about using them.

We listen to both Police and Firedept sirens over in Trenton most all night long. That place is not anywhere I would want to live. Both the wife and I stay armed 24/7 for that reason alone. Had one attempted home invasion, and one stolen vehicle that was recovered in Trenton.....Home invaders decided it was wise to avoid the homeowner with the scary black gun. Problem solved.

I voted yes and I believe the United States Constitution 2nd Amendment already guarantees that right - BUT - the nut job lawmakers in my state will never ever go for it. Many residents in some other states face the same dilemma.
It would have to be done at the national level and backed up by the Supreme Court.

Given that a driver's license is good nation wide (which kills more people) then yes.

Also, given that a marriage license is good nation wide even if some states don't like who got married, then yes.

The libs can't have it both ways.

I think we already have constitutional carry in all states as per the 2A.
I also think that arms regulations are a federal issue and that virtually all state gun laws regulating the civilian/personal ownership and bearing of arms are unconstitutional as per the 2A.
But, here's the kicker: no one cares what I think. The Supreme Court has to step up.

Both those words are interesting.

Constitutional refers to a document, in which occurs the phrase "keep and bear arms" where bear is similar to carry.

If you're thinking Constitutionally, then in an important sense, "Constitutional Carry" is already the law in all 50 of these United States.
Correct.

Requiring a license to carry a concealed firearm is likewise Constitutional carry as it comports with Second Amendment case law.

Do you have a Free Press permit to express that opinion in writing? How do we know you've been adequately trained and licensed and won't say something dangerous? We can't have just anyone writing things online, and the founders couldn't have imagined the internet!

"Shall not be infringed" is really pretty simple.

I can't conceive of there being any good reason for constitutional carry NOT being the law in every state. I'll also freely admit that I can't think of any reason how or why gun control laws are as beneficial to We the People as they are detrimental, but I'm a rational being and not a Dummycrap or similar either.

I voted yes. Id like to hear from those that voted no because I would like to hear the thoughts and reasoning against it

Not looking to argue or fight, just curious

I did not vote.
If by your question you are asking, "Do you think every state should allow permit-less concealed carry for all lawful purposes?" then yes, I do.
If you are asking if the federal government should impose some form of permit-less carry on the states, then no, I don't.
My perspective has less to do with whether I think permit-less carry is a good thing than it does my concern for federal overreach. If the fed is to get involved in this question, it should be by SCOTUS striking down as unconstitutional restrictive carry laws in the states, not by the imposition of a new federal law.

As a aside, only 2 days to our most important Presidential Election since probably 1896. Are we all ready to take it on, come what may?

What are your thoughts, THR, 2 days before this most important Election Day?
Unfortunately, Constitutional Carry is not on the table in this election.

When the Republicans had control of both houses of Congress, as well as the presidency, they didn't move even on national carry-license reciprocity, which is several steps milder than Constitutional Carry.

I don’t believe the feds should tell states what to do.

Unless there is a Supreme Court decision and mandate that states do this, I think it’s federal overreach. This will be an unpopular opinion and I fully expect to get creamed but that’s how I see it.
