The original wood grips on my CA Bulldog Target 357 cracked & I'm looking for replacement rubber grips. I need them to be compact but still allow me to shoot 357 Mag ammo.
The rubber grips sold by CA look OK but I know there are others.
Any recommendations from folks that have a CA or similar revolver with rubber grips will be helpful

I went with the Pachmayr Compact grips on my Target Bulldog. A bit larger then the factory wood grips but a whole lot more comfortable for shooting, IMO.

I went with a set of Pachmayr Compacs on my Undercover. I wanted something a little bit more substantial than the factory wood grips.

Same. I have a set on my Pitbull. Certainly less bulky than the stock grips but still soak up recoil from warm .45 acp.

I have an extra set of the factory rubber grips. I will share the Charter Arms love and send them to you as a Pay-It-Forward if you want them.

I found some NOS small checkered wood grip panels that are smaller than the standard Bulldog wood grips and put them on my .44 Bulldog in place of the factory rubber grips. It makes the revolver easily pocketable in most of my pants and I have carried it daily for quite some time, and they sure look cool on the gun. But I was shooting it the other day and no, it isn't pleasant. The factory rubber grips just make it too large to throw in my pocket.

I'm thinking of getting the Pachmayr Compac grips as I have a Smith snubby with those grips and just love the way they feel. If they were available for my Security Six I would be over the moon, but I think they only made them for the Speed Six. Still struggling with whether the Pachmayrs would be a worthwhile upgrade for the Bulldog. It would probably relegate it to holster carry, I imagine.

Even with my small hands I still found the factory wood grips on my Undercover to be a bit on the skimpy side of things. For carrying I added a Tyler T-Grip Adapter and for range use I'd put on a set of Pachmayr Compacs.

Charter grips are decent. Pachmayr Compac are (IMHO & YMMV) very nice.

I just received a set of CA rubber grips from Biblethumpncop for my CA Bulldog 357. They are comfortable and fit the gun perfectly. They are more compact than the original (cracked) wood grips. I'll have to wait until I get to the range to see how they feel when I shoot but I think they'll be fine with the 125 grain, 357 JHP loads I like.
I want to thank Biblethumpncop for sending them free of charge!
Here's how the gun looks now.
