I hope these pictures work. Gun started out ass the black TLE. I modified as follows:
EGW-Anglebored bushing,slidestop and extractor
Ed Brown-thumb safety, mag release and catchlock
Wilson-mainspring housing,hammer,sear,strut,full-lenght guide rod
Briley-disonnector
Les Baer-grip safety
Brownells-medium solid trigger
Heinie-all black Slant-Pros
Hogue-Rosewood grips
Metaloy-matte hard chrome

Looks good but I have to ask--why change all that stuff out on a TLE? The TLE is a fine pistol right out of the box. Guess you like tinkering.

Just guessing his intentions, but I figure it's because Kimber makes terrific frames and slides that cry out for parts of equal quality.
 
Mine started out as a stock TLE. Just finished customizing it with the following:

Kimber uses a lot of MIM parts, these can and do break. On the range, it a breakage constitutes a bad day at the range and little more. If you are depending upon the gun to save your life or the lives of others and something breaks, that may constitute the worst and possibly last day of your life.
 
Schmacky and Stans,
You're both right on the money. The slide to frame fit and the barrel fit are superb. However, the small parts all leave a lot to be desired as far as quality and fit. A side by side comparison of the new parts with the stock parts says it all. As it is now, this kimber is a very very nice pistol.
