As the old commercial went "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you dont". I like the platforms equally so it depends on the way I wake up and feel like using that day.
I feel shooting a revolver is an acquired taste and not as easy for some to do well. YMMV

My favorite cartridge is .357. If I had the resources to own a semi in that round I may change my position. It's a hand loaders cartridge and what got me hooked in this hobby. Maybe I like a revolver because of the huge chunk of steel to help recoil and I can easily change grips. A 686 stainless with a 6" barrel is heavenly.

If the end of the world comes and this is my survival gun, I would not fret all that much. Solid as a rock, shoots both 357, 38. and the Popular 9mm. (and so fun at the range)

Blackhawk 357 convertible.

I love my autoloaders. I only have one revolver...that i bought back in 1971. I can't recall the last decade that I dragged it out to shoot it.

My wife has a Colt 38 revolver snubbie that I never fired. Perhaps I should borrow that for my next range trip so I can remember what a revolver is like.

I have some wonderful semi-autos like a Ruger MK II competition, CZ75b, even the RIA basic GI 45 acp is fine. But I really prefer revolvers. No brass to chase. Easy to reload and power levels can go from mouse fart to volcanic without having to think of cycling the action. Revolver grips, especially single actions, fit my hand better. No brass to chase. (Yeah, I said that before but at my age it is increasingly important.) Revolvers have a longer history. Finally, SA revolvers are close to the Roy Rogers cap pistols I got for my fifth Christmas. :D

Over time, I have come to strongly prefer firearms that do not have removable magazines. Revolvers, hinged floorplate rifles, lever guns, and shotguns for me.

Great point! Factor in the fact that many revolvers can shoot more than one caliber as well and that really opens up your options with handloading.

I am a much better shot with my revolvers than I am with my semi’s. But I shoot semiautomics much more. Why, I don’t know.

That’s a hard one. I really enjoy my Springfield Range Officer 9mm, and the 4” Champion. I shoot my g17 gen 3 more than everything else, but when I pull out the Smith 67 or GP-100 it’s a whole different kind of wonderful. I’d be hard pressed to choose as I really enjoy both.

I hear ya. I love loading up the Ruger LCR9mm with 40 moon clips the day before a range session. So easy to just put them in a bag and come home and empty them. Favorite plinker is the LCR 22, I seem to have no problem loading 8 rounds into the snubbie, but hate loading Magazines loading my new LCP 22 and cleaning up all the brass.

I usually take a dozen magazines with me for any semi I shoot and I find them a bore to bring along, I don't like maintaining them or cleaning them and they are expensive. Love a moon clip. Also have a fondness for single shot shotguns.

Revolvers overall. Chasing empies takes some of the fun out of shooting autos, and weren't not for that I'd prefer autos since I hate cleaning revolvers.

A single action revolver maybe but I do not enjoy shooting my wife's revolver as it is DA only with the hidden hammer.

I MUCH prefer my Sigs.

Pistol. I guess I just haven't found a revolver that fits my hand just right.

Hunting- SA - 357 and 44
CC- compact auto 380 and 9mm
Range- SA - 22, 357, 44 and 1911 45 acp
Yeap that about does it for me

For accuracy, load development and hunting, revolver. For action shooting, my 1911. For ccw practice, my Micro, 43, and EC9S
