Yup. Friend of mine has 1 1/2 with bow... the coyotes found the first one before he did. He usually limits out on deer and gets some turkeys. His gear is all paid for, it is fun grocery shopping for him and his son.
Oh, yeah, then there is fishing season.

Alabama formerly had a “buck a day” limit, 2- if You also took a doe during doe days.
Several years ago, it changed.
Now it’s 12 per year, But only two 2 antlered deer a year. But, you can shoot the annual limit on the same day.

I’d get an Alabama non-resident license, but they’re now almost $400.
Not worth it, imo.
I’ve got a Georgia resident lifetime license.... shoot deer out my kitchen window...

I hunted there during the 70s and 80s and the limit was 1 a day 2 in possession, there were antlered and doe days, now I reside in GA and have tags for 10 does and 2 antlered with 1 having 4 or more points on one side, I have never tagged out in either state.
Our gun season is usually around the middle of October to 2nd weekend in January, archery and primitive weapons start in September
