I'm in complete agreement with you. I had one for a time, sold it, and don't miss it at all.

The action and trigger esp in DA don’t compare to many S&W revos I have. It surely doesn’t stack up to the MR’s I posted yesterday. If this one left the stable I wouldn’t miss it all that much, but I think everyone who’s a revolver fan should hav at least one snake sitting in the safe.

There is just something about the iconic look of a Python that I can help but say, wow:)

Its the goat for now. Just wait until Glock comes out with a 6 shooter. That will be the goat.

Screenshot_20201110-054044_Gallery.jpg Got a cpl, they're nice enough. My favorite is the Hunter. It's my scoped, light varmint rig. Meaning, this gun has seen a fair share of midrange cast loads.... probably around 20k. Still can tear a beer can up @100.

I've had more S&W's with timing issues than any of the Colts? Have a bunch of both brands, and never got the fanboy "this vs that".... but, whatever floats your boat. Heck,I shoot a 7" Ruger Blackhawk 357 as the "heavy" varmint rig. It's even taken a cpl deer.

Beautiful gun! I’ve never been bowled over by Python’s but I’d sure like to own that one. I have a MINT S&W 15-2 with a mirror blue like your Python. Made in 1967. Still in box with wax paper and tools. Haven’t shot it and might never shoot it. I have plenty of revolvers for shooting but the 15 comes out just to admire. It never fails to impress those who see it.

Wish my Python was as mint as yours. Mine shows a little holster wear by the muzzle. My muzzle is one inch closer to the cylinder though. That's a little harder to find.

Mine like yours doesn't get shot. Just admired before getting wiped down lovingly with an oily rag before being put back in the safe.
I have a gp100 if I want to beat on something....or lay it in the dirt. LOL. just kidding
