Owning two of the same gun

Any long gun dupes?
I would think a dupe of a long gun would count twice as for hand guns.
Same for consecutive serial numbers.

Behold: Colt 6920's with consecutive serial numbers and UNFIRED!

I got a couple of them as well (bought out of fear, right before the last election, thank you Hillary) -- I've taken one out, and I'm finding that I really like the Wilson-Rogers "Super-Stoc" -- it's a friggin' nice stock.

The only real duplicates I have are a 1919 and 1921 Colt Vest Pocket. I have a Beretta 81 and 81BB and a 6 or 7 Walther PP series but none are duplicates. I would rather add something different to my collection than have copies esp. modern easily replaceable models.

A 2nd identical rifle would be handy for when I take friends out shooting,,,
For the same reason that I like having two identical .22 pistols.

I've considered getting another Mossberg 702 Plinkster just for range use,,,
I've owned one for a while now and like plinking with it at the range.

What I would really like is to find another Henry Acu-Bolt to go with the one I already own,,,
Tin can slaying with single-shots is very satisfying and is also ammo efficient.

On guns that I use like my BERETTA 92's and RUGER Security Six's, I have several of each. That way, I can always use an identical weapon if one is seized (like after a shooting, even if justified) or has to be repaired. I like that the familiarity of the controls, trigger, grip shape and shooting and reloading drill will be automatic, since I use them so often.

When it comes to S&W revolvers, no such
thing as having only one of the same model.

Mind you, I don't mean having duplicates of
every model.

But what's wrong with having a half dozen or
so Model 15 or Model 19s and possibly a
few Model 586s, not to mention svelte Model 10s.

But certainly none of those obese N-frames.
That's gross.

Well, maybe one.

For years I owned 2 Glock 19’s and 23’s .. but now I own one of each ... I also owned 2 TCPs .. gave one to my nephew...
I do own 3 Maverick 88 Security 12 ga shotguns
Ordered all at once 3 or 4 years ago
And two SKS’s

Indy I sold my only P38 years ago. MISTAKE. These are P1's. Two M1's are a good start for me too. Now I need 2 more!

Ahhh we all make mistakes, I did not get one of those P1s when they 1st came in at a little over 100 each (Could kick myself).. Was buying other things... Thought there would always be time enough at last to get one...

I have a bit of a thing for the French P38s...the much vaunted Grey Ghosts

Silly to have 2. Dont do it

I should add the firearms I have and will buy as a gift to my son are the same that were given to me by my dad. Handing them down might be more sentimental but it would also mean im buying another to replace it anyways haha
