Nope. Not interested. Most of my lever guns are chambered for the traditional WCF cartridges; 44-40, 38-40, 32-30, and 25-20. I have one chambered for 357 Mag, but other than that they are all chambered for the WCF cartridges. I'm not even interested in one chambered for 45 Colt.

No interest in a lever. I have 357, 44 mag and three 30-30s so don't see where a 10mm would do anything special. Maybe a 10mm auto. That way it could throw all my expensive hard to get 10mm brass in the tall grass.

sorry I didn't read all the posts, but how about chambering any lever in 350Legend , or 450 bushmaster?
357 Maximum and 45/70 would produce equal or better ballistics (exterior and terminal) as 350 Legend and 450 Bushmaster respectively and are rimmed cartridges of similar length. 45/70 is already readily available in a lever action platform.

JMHO but 350 Legend and 450 Bushmaster excel best in the platform they were developed for the AR-15.

Cant see any reason to switch from a 44 mag to a 10mm, the overhyped non-41 mag. I'd like a 1911 in 10mm but not in a rifle. I'm not into autoloaders even though the post was about a levergun. You can get a lever 41 mag now which is better.

Id like a lever in 9mm or .40sw just as a range toy. I still think 9 or .40 is still easier and cheaper to get over .38spl or .357 mag. I have a Henry in .30-30 and .22lr, .30-30 even before was almost a dollar a round, and was over that if you bought some Federal HammerDown ammo.

I voted no, but I do have an Uberti 1866 Sporting Rifle in .38-40 WCF. That's equivalent ballistically to a .40 S&W in a rifle.

Fantastic point. You'd think that I would think of the Mad Max given I have 2 TC Encore barrels in that caliber. A lever action that could fire that along with the normal 38/357 loads would be a nice thing to have.

Nay. mcb explained why.
10mm does not gain as much as 357 Mag (and 41 & 44 Mag) in a carbine length barrel does due to a case volume issue**. The 357 Magnum has more case volume and since the slower burning powders that work so well in carbines are bulkier than fast burning powders the 10mm Auto runs out of case volume for propellent when trying to load to take advantage of the barrel length. You can see this in the chrono data from Ballistics by the Inch website. Many of the 357 Mag and 10mm loads that both generate 650-750 ft-lbs of muzzle energy in pistol length barrel (~5-inch) start to separate the at carbine lengths with very few of the 10mm getting over 900 ft-lbs and most of the 357 Magnum easily exceeding 1000 ftps.

**Yes 357 Magnum only has a 9% larger empty case volume over 10mm Auto but when you start calculating usable case volume after seating the bullet to SAAMI OAL you realize just how much of that case volume is occupies by bullet in the case of the 10mm Auto especially as we get to heavy for caliber bullets.

I’m sure it was meant jokingly but the thought of a lever gun that accepts Glock 20 magazines just makes me grin all over. If limited to just a traditional tube fed gun then it seems to me the 357 or 44 guns have that niche pretty well filled. I just don’t see much of an advantage in the 10mm/40 combo over the 357/38 combo, and that’s coming from someone who loves the 10mm.

I voted nay because I'm well stocked with lever guns. Winchesters in .25-20 and .30-30, Marlins in .22LR, .30-30, .38-55, .44 Magnum, .45 Colt. I have a Glock 20 that doesn't get much use.

no need to reinvent the wheel when there are so many 357/41/44 lever gun-revolver combos to choose from
