Lee 124 grain powder coated tumble lube bullets. This was a 17 round group fired from a g17 gen3. Distance was 7-8 yards and I got 1-2 per mag that hit sideways.

Not really sure. All cast at the same time, then sized, then coated and sized again. All of them loaded on a single stage and powder weighed out in a Hornady electronic powder dispenser. I have had a couple tumble out of an 8” barreled AR-9, and a Glock 17 gen 3, and a time or 2 from one of my Range Officers. What’s weird is they were still fairly accurate.

No problems with the coating coming off, I only crimp enough to remove the flair, and all are midrange charges. I load for accuracy, not speed. The only thing I can think of is one of the kids were helping with the sizing and maybe missed a few.

The Missouri Bullet is 18 BHN and has a large bearing surface. No lube grooves.

The Lee tumble would seem to have a lot less bearing surface? smallball_gl.jpg 20201121_171724.jpg 20201121_171743.jpg

If its not skidding, could the velocity be to low? Very light target load?

Slug your barrel first. 9mm's can run .355 to .358. Tumbling can often be cured by increasing bullet dia. 9mm's can have so many variables in chamber, throat, and barrel dimensions it can be a challenge
