Not sure if this is the proper place but here goes.
I have an older friend who has an original 44AutoMag., box papers etc. I forgot to ask how many mags came with it, how many he has and barrel length. He also has an original die set and a kit to convert 308 cases to 44AMP.
Anybody want to take a guess as to what this is worth?

A Pasadena gun will sell a bit higher than the later TDE's or High Standards,
but only if it is in like new condition (you do not mention condition at all).

So without pictures? Use the search on GB for completed sales.

Thank you. Forgot all about completed sales.

The value of AutoMags goes up every year. I have a TDE that I was happy to pay $2,500 for. The only serious problem with AutoMags is, parts are almost impossible to find. If it breaks, it's a safe queen. There's one company that has been saying they'll be ready to market new AutoMags "in a few weeks" for years.
If you can part with the money, buy it. But keep on mind that ammo is expensive and usually out of stock. Starline makes brass and that's what I use for reloading. If you buy it, check in here for load data.

I know they are worth a pretty penny. All of them. Phil, owner of Mid South Guns in Wagram, NC (Scotland County) had 6 or 7 of them in a display case. You may want to give him a call, or go visit his shop. It is the best gun shop I have ever been in.

Automag.com had me on their waiting list. They called this past Wednesday... they're done testing and ready to ship.
Yeah, I saw that on their site. It'll be interesting to see whether the first (or second or third) run of guns is worth the money.
