7:20 am. Thursday. Brisk walk. 50 yards. Found out hard way AXIS II bolts too easy to lift. Click. Thought I forgot to charge. Recharged. He stopped for about 1.5 seconds. Got center mass spine shot just as he reentered brush.

First of two I butchered and vac packed last week. Second one was smaller but between the two of them our freezer is no longer empty! Will be trying for another 1 or 2 next week during the 4 day bonus antlerless season. But whether I bag one or not,,,any day in the woods is a good day!
