Gonna bump this from #441 with a clue.

Spotter: "Two men, approximately ... forty goats."
Sniper: "They're not on anybody's side. We don't have to shoot them."

[voice-over] A story. A man fires a rifle for many years. And he goes to war. And afterward, he turns the rifle in at the Armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands-- love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper-- his hands remember the rifle.

Two men, approximately ... forty goats

Shooter ?

Don't think this one has been done
"Hey, what are you doing? You can't buy bullets with foodstamps grandpa."

  • "Slim, I ain't never seen a handgun that big before."

  • "Yeah, it's a 50 caliber. They used to use it to hunt buffalo with -- up close. It's only legal in two states. And this isn't one of them."

  • "You're somthin' else, Slim."

Man I was sure I had the answer.
But nope.
This .50 Cal Quote was from
Armed and Dangerous (1986)

I had confused the .50 cal movie quote with this movie.
Henry Beige : [digging a bullet out of a dead steer] If I wasn't so dad-blamed old, I wouldn't know what this is.
John Brown : What is it?
Henry Beige : It's a fifty-caliber bullet!
John Brown : From what kind of gun?
Henry Beige : A Sharps buffalo rifle! This is gettin' downright romantic!

Up till the 1980's in Alaska you could buy motor gas and ammunition with food stamps.
