You might want to look into an RMR setup. Way better than irons. My 20 year old son much prefers the 1911 to any of the other pistols. Like I told him everything is right where the prophet JMB designed it to be. Little does he know I have him an SR 1911 for Christmas.
On a side note. Does anyone have any experience with the Crimson Trace grips? My son has some vision problems and iron sights are a booger for him. The 1911 fits his hand so well that he is still good to go at minute of bad guy from out to about 25yards
What’s that on the base pad?
How do you like your Citadel so far? I picked up a compact Citadel in 45acp a couple months ago and so far am impressed with it. I have put a little over 200 rounds through it so far, 230gr RN fmj, 230gr hollow points and 185gr lead semi wadcutters and all have fed fired and ejected 100%. Fit and finish are very good for a lower cost 45.

I thought of that but it is easier to find a holster for the CT grips and if ever needed in a bad situation grab handle look at dot on target. You might want to look into an RMR setup. Way better than irons.
Have you ever tried shooting with a laser in anything but a static position in light that works with it?I thought of that but it is easier to find a holster for the CT grips and if ever needed in a bad situation grab handle look at dot on target.
Nighthawk T4 in a PHLster Floodlight. It's a gigantic holster made to accommodate a 1911 Government with Streamlight TLR-1. The muzzle ends about at that second hole just above the "E" of the label. A 1911 Government goes to the end of the holster.
I have a Tenicor Certum 3 that I will use without the light mounted.

I like this one, and I do carry it in cooler weather (like now). I have IWB, OWB, and shoulder holster, and thus life doesn't become boring.

Dan Wesson Valor V-Bob, in "Commander" size. This is the most expensive handgun I have, and now that I'm retired, it's likely to hold that record permanently. Having had a dozen 1911's of various makes and types over the years, I'm really impressed with how well-made this thing is.
In the 1911 realm, I sold off three Sigs, two Colts, a Kimber, and a Ruger earlier this year, leaving me with just this one. (Though I later discovered I had enough spare parts to build a Frankenstein, which I did so that I could have something to fiddle with when I got that urge.) This is the only 1911 I've ever had that didn't need any alterations or upgrades to suit my tastes, so this is the one that stayed with me. There are things about it that would make it imperfect for someone with different preferences, of course, like having the thumb safety on only one side, or its weight, or the slim grips, but I find all those features preferable. Whenever I strip it for cleaning, I'm impressed anew with the attention to detail that a non-custom gun has received. I've spent some time shooting a friend's Wilson, but it didn't make me want to upgrade from the V-Bob. If I ever have to get rid of everything, this (and a 6" Model 19) will be the last to go.I have and have had several high-end. I’ve sold off Wilson’s, Colt Customs, Baers, and other DWs, but I’ll never part with my VBOB. I just absolutely love shooting and carrying that gun.

Does it even fit tightly? T4 is pretty small
My 5" comped STI w/x300 fits snuggly, but my M45A1 doesn't.
