I have three levers, three bolts, a rolling block and two semi auto rimfires ..... and I chose the semi autos as the “most fun.”

I guess it’s because you can go from deliberate target shooting to rapid fire rimfire 3-gun to small game hunting/pest management to an afternoon of pew-pew-pew as-fast-as-I-can-shoot-this 25-round-magazine plinking with your kids... all with the same gun. :)

Stay safe.

I’ve had

(d) all of the above

My vote is “bolt”

My personal perception is that most semi auto owner’s goal is to turn money into noise as quickly as possible. My goal is to be as ultimately accurate as possible. I’ve not personally seen a semi auto as accurate as my CZ 453, certainly not for the same money.

If you simply want to burn up ammo, have at it. Your money

Depends. I like my marlin 60 pretty well, but I can’t say I have any more or less fun with the bolt action single shots. I have the most fun with the RIA m14y (box fed bolt action) because it’s what my kids are shooting most. That is based on the kids though, but I can’t recommend that gun enough. It’s a cheapo but it’s a durned good cheapo.

Tough choice. Most fun goes to lever actions, especially when paired with a good single action revolver. Bolts are a very close second due to (possibly) better accuracy.

I enjoy .22 pistols more than rifles.
Good ammo and a decent rifle........makes shooting boring.

Have a CZ455, could use a trigger job but if tolerable. SK rifle match is .5 at 50 yards.
Not a match winner, but for a hunting rig, I think good enough.

Might dump it and go back to a 5.5" pistol w reflex

I have three bolts, a Win 52, Saage-Anschutz 141 and a CZ 455. Two semi autos, both 10-22s, one mostly stock, one totally modified for accuacy. I have the most fun with the match guns but every once in a while I get the standard back from whichever kid has it and run a couple 25 round mags of Remington junk through it. Just to keep it humble. I have my 39 and my other autos to the kids.

Lever, any day of the week.
Close second would be single shot- rolling or falling block.
A distant last would be semi. I can't think of a use for one, the soup cans and squirrels don't actually attack so shooting fast as you can pull them isn't a factor for me. I did like my marlin 60 quite a bit but it's no where near as good as a 39a.

My first rifle was a Stevens Favorite. It can be managed deliberately or expeditiously but of course not as expeditious as mag dumping a 10/22. Nevertheless that Stevens is sure fun and handy to pack around. Maybe in part because I have had it the longest.

For the record I have a 10/22 as well, just not real interested in the pewpewpew stuff. Maybe I'm getting grumpy in my dotage. Now get off my lawn.

I have a semiauto and a pair of bolts. Like all of 'em and wouldn't want to part with any.

Semi auto for people who love shooting.

Bolts for people who love one shot one kill.

Levers and pumps for people who like to flail about.

Single shot for people who like holding things.

That's an exceptionally tough question. I undoubtedly have more rounds through my 10/22 than anything else I own, and I love shooting it. That said, I've had a lot of fun with my bolt guns lately. And I want to pick up a lever gun, just because I've never owned one.

So I guess my answer is:
Historically: semiauto
At the moment: bolt

Like asking which is your favorite kid. But, do I love them equally? Depends on the day and task, but for just plain fun, probably the semi.
