If so, do you like it ? Is it a well made revolver? I ask because my mom has a 380 and loves it. But with her arthritis it is harder for her to operate the slide. My LGS suggested that.

I don't have one, but did have a S&W performance center 38 for my wife. She has pretty severe Rheumatoid arthritis and has been disabled with it since 2013. What we found is that her hand strength went down so much she couldn't pull the trigger in double action, and without using both hands she couldn't cock the hammer either. We have switched to a S&W 380 EZ and she can just operate the slide acceptably plus it has an excellent trigger pull. Her favorite now though is a Ruger 22/45 with a slide racker on the back.

I would definitely have her try the double action trigger pull before getting one.

I’ve shot my younger brothers several times.
Taurus build is the same as all the newer revolvers(well built).
I found that the UL in .380acp has the same amount of recoil as my steel frame Taurus model 85(.38spl).
The .380acp is snappy, but still nice to shoot.

Not a .380 but I did have the 405 which is the same concept only in 40sw. The guns seem to be built very well but have the same flaw. Pocket carry triggers. The pull on the triggers is overkill and was likely done as a safety measure for deep concealment type carry as the guns were intended when designed. For someone with poor hand strength, arthritis, etc they are difficult to operate. I would not feel I was doing my mother right by trading in her slide operation issue for a trigger operation issue.

There are people making “wings” or cocking aids that lock into the serrations on slides for many guns. That’s where I would be looking if I were you. Yes it adds a little mass to the slide, but a spring trim would fix the functional issues that could come from the added mass.

This advice is worth what you paid for it.

I had one, the other posters are right about the trigger. It's a bear, and I'm not a little ol' lady. I thought about a spring kit, though I've found that sometimes causes reliability issues. I decide to move on. I have heard comments that the trigger is much better on the newer production guns but I can't personally verify that.

It is a sweet little compact revolver outside of the trigger pull issue.

Some variety of 32 caliber revolver with a nice trigger would be a good solution.

My wife prefers the Charter Arms Undercoverette in 32 H&R. It is equivalent to 38 special, but the recoil is much easier.

Yep .. tuff trigger .. I think to make sure it ignited the 380acp primers
I liked mine ... but ... a shorter cylinder and a longer forcing cone would have lengthened the barrel without effecting the OAL of the revolver... and would have reduced weight
Im not sure why I traded mine ?

Steel Hayes---How many younger brothers did you shoot ? Not to be a wise guy but you might want to edit it to brother's.
