What are you selling during this panic?

I thought about taking the profit on some but since I don't need the money the thought passed pretty quickly. I haven't been buying either.

Now that you mention it... You got me thinking deeper into this.... what is my 7000 rounds of M855 ball ammo worth today? I fire a few hundred per year of m193 (if that), because i tend to fire M193 first, and i have several thousand of M193.... The question is how much of this ammo is still going to be sitting in the same place, unfired after im dead? Im willing to bet a lot. Unless I take up 3-gun?? (Can you use M855 at 3 gun? Probably not.)

I sold a Remington Versa Max Tactical, SIX MPX SBR and a bunch of ammunition. I didn't use the Versa Max and didn't want the MPX so sold both with significant profits on each.

I tried to trade in a very nice Rossi Overland 12ga coach gun after seen what they sold for on gunbroker, but during a brief exam by the salesman they pointed out that one of the hammers and firing pins doesn't retract properly after being fired, so they sent me packing. I only shot 25 rounds through the thing in the years I've owned it and never noticed!

I was hoping to avoid shipping but I may try selling here, or pay the stupid Armslist fee. My bases are pretty well covered so I didn't even know what I was trading it in for.

Seriously thinking about selling a thing or 2. Want to buy a RAR ranch in 7.62 x 39.

It has zero link to the panic, except for being a coincidence. I sell guns simply to provide all, or most of the cash for different types to be acquired.

Having a pair of Sig P6 and a third Sig, a true German P225 (proof marks), one of which is beautiful, and a club member said that he wanted one of these.

This provided cash for a very nifty S&W 908 with very little wear.
Almost every gun I own is foreign-designed/manu., so it's nice to have another high-quality US ....All-Metal.... S&W 9mm (it is 3rd. Gen.: based on the 3914).

Now that you mention it, I have purchased guns throughout the years that are pretty equivalent in price to 1 weeks take home wages and maybe 3 or 4 guns per year (with 6 a high year, and 1 or 2 a low year)
Only sold a handful over 20 years.

It is as sellers are almost purposely trying to discourage people from buying, anyone I know into shooting isn't buying ammo right now I know I'm not and because of the ammo situation I've lost most interest in buying any guns right now also except one special one I'm on the lookout for a USP Expert in .40 and that is because I have thousands of rounds of it from the great Walmart ammo fire sale of last year when they ditched carrying ammo.

I've sold some ammo to co-workers, 9mm, .223/5.56, .45 ACP -- for exactly what I originally paid, not including tax, pre-panic prices.

Work with some military reservists who came back from extended active duty and were caught a bit short. Also given quite a bit away.

Not selling anything to anyone else, no guns for certain.

I bought 5 guns this year so I guess I am in a buying mood.

I have a few guns I'd like to sell but I'm not sure it's worth it. I'll have to see if any of the shops here do consignment. There are a couple things I'd like to sell to simply go in a slightly different direction but the problem would be buying the new guns as not a lot is available. For example I love my CZ Bren 805 but it's been discontinued, so if I could get out from under it without taking a bath I would. But any of the guns that would fill the same role are pretty thin on the ground right now. And I have been moving away from single action autos and safeties so I wouldn't mind selling my HK P30S (Gray Guns trigger, Trijicon HD sights) to go for the same gun with a V1 LEM but those are extremely hard to find, too.

Lastly I'm on the fence between getting an SBR stamp for my CZ Scorpion and selling it. Love the gun but I get tired of sweating every few months over the ATF's interpretation of the SB Tactical brace. If I just got a stamp I'd put a stock on it and be done with the tomfoolery. But if I sold it I might go another direction. Hard to say!

I may see if some yahoo what’s to trade me an old model 10 or something for a few bricks of primers, other than that I’ve bought 8 guns this year sold 3 ( Walmart closeout rifles). Pretty good year lol

I see some great stuff coming available. I'm buying some of those great guns.

I traded one Glock Gen4 G19 pistol, about March or April, but the result was a more-useful pistol.

I had a pair-and-a-spare of Gen4 Glock G19 pistols. Then, however, my right hand aged-out of shooting them. Firing 80 rounds, right-handed, during a police duty qual, in late 2017, had produced actual injury, with prolonged swelling, not just discomfort/pain, and that was the final time I fired a G19. This relegated my G19 pistols to being potential trading stock. I do still like Glocks with full-length grip frames, that reach all the way to the “heel bone” of my hand.

Later, I very nearly traded my two remaining G19 pistols, but decided to keep them, at least for a while.

I sold a Bulgy AK-74 with a suspect receiver for considerably more than I paid at 2013 panic prices. Used the proceeds to fill that spot in my armory with an AR for much less money.

Also sold a box of ammo to my boss’s friend for $25. Which was inflated panic pricing then, going rate today.

But in general I own the guns I have, for a reason, so not eager to sell.

Nothing sold yet, and I don't have any plans to. I did trade a 308 bolt gun for an AR pistol upper. I figure I have more need for a compact AR than another hunting gun.

When it all started to really hit the fan in my area back in March, a friend inquired about buying my old KelTec P11 which has been in the safe since I got my Shield and a slew of other guns. I told him he could have it for around $120 with several magazines. Eventually he reneged for about the third time! He had asked me about it several other times before that, just basic interest nothing panic oriented. He's just been on the fence about owning a handgun for awhile, but he's had a few in the past, most 9mm's and 357's. He's kind of a pro-gun liberal, really. Nobody else has asked me for anything except a little (firearm oriented) advice through all this. Every time said "friend" renegs on his interest yet again, he usually cites his wife's opinions on the issue being the reason for his change of mind. He's also one of those guys who likes to say that he himself "may not be stable or cool enough to own a gun". I recognize that as just immature deceiving tough talk. He likes to kick garbage cans at work when he gets temperamental but he's never actually been truly violent that I know of. He just likes people to think so. He'd probably shoot himself in the foot by mistake before anything else. I think I'll tell him I sold it next time he asks. Dork!

Quick edit: I live in the craggy hills 18 miles outside a city of about 850,000. He lives about 6 miles outside of that same city a in scummy little town (IMO). I don't blame him for wanting to be armed. Looting and pillaging and spillovers from inner city riots could potentially be a problem in his area, and he obviously has that on his mind. He's not a total moron. I think he should man up, buy one...whether it be mine or someone else's...and keep it close and keep it concealed...even from his wife for the time being...and go to the range once in awhile without his dumbass macho pretentiousness. It's all about safety, PERIOD.

I'm interested in buying some more firearms, at the moment I have my eye on buying the Tom Horn rifle that Uberti or Cimmaron is selling in 45/60. I'll have to trim some 45/70 brass but I've got plenty and some other itches I need to scratch.

I recently signed on to a number of online ammo suppliers and was surprised that 9x18 is as dry as anything else. I thought 9x18 was outside the scope of interest of most preppers.

I see that point with some people, but I think dinero was part of his reason for reneging anyway! He just couldn't justify the funds (probably to his wife, as indicated). He'd turn around and not look back, that dangfraggin' city boy. $120 is already a little low. I was trying to do him a favor. I paid like $260 for it BNIB, and only shot like 400 rounds through it. I could probably partially trade it for something else asking $150...and that's prolly what I'll do. By now SCCY models and even other KelTecs have put it out of the ballpark.
