Has anyone here ever won a gun in a raffle?

Like others, my luck for winning raffles is pretty dismal, but I have won twice at some past FONRA dinners.

One year I decided to drop a little more coin than usual on the tickets and ended up buying one of the packages that included a "red bucket ticket". That particular year they had 4 "red bucket" guns. First red ticket pulled, the guy got his choice of the 4. Think he picked a bolt action rifle. Second guy picked a Browning 20g BPS. Third ticket was mine and what was left to choose was a Rossi Trifecta 3 barrel (.22LR, 243, 20g) youth gun, or a MDM Buckwacka muzzleloader. Neither was a great option for me, as the Rossi was way too small for me and no young ones in the family, and I am a traditional muzzleloader sort of guy. And I had about 15 seconds to choose. With a lens on trading/selling whichever I picked, I took the Rossi. They had an FFL working the banquet, so I was able to take it home that night.

At the banquet there was a guy from work and we got talking the following Monday. Seems he had done some gun trading, and had taken in a T/C White Mountain Carbine muzzleloader as part of a trade package. He had no interest in it, but had some interest in the Rossi as he felt he could get more for that than the T/C. So we did a straight trade and I ended up with something I really like and use so it all worked out.

Second gun I won was a Daisy Red Ryder in the "white bucket" drawing.

Several years ago I won a rather large raffle for a Mosin Nagant M44. I never win anything so it was a great surprise. Still own it as it's a great shooter.

Never. If it wasnt for bad luck I would have no luck at all.

I won half a case of 9mm Golden Sabre in May. Good thing I held onto most of it. I enter in every firearm drawing I can, even if its something I don't want. Only have gotten lucky this one time.

Have lost count of guns I've won. Rifles pistols and a shotgun. Last one was a 45-70 Henry. Been a dry spell for a few years. I'm about due to hit again

You've lost count of the guns you won? Can I hang out with you?

I've always bought tickets for gun raffles, been doing it for 50 years. I quit this year and will never try again. Last 2 years I helped sell tickets and sold 3 books of 10 tickets for those 2 years. No one I sold tickets to won, it made me realize how bad chances of winning really are.
Yes, chances of winning are poor. That is why when I chip in on a raffle, I just look at it as a good will donation. I expect nothing for my donation, except to help the cause.

I usually don't buy raffle tickets. I won a Glock 26 at a Glock match. That raffle was limited to volunteer range officers. You got a ticket for every half day you worked during the match.

A few years ago, at a Ducks Unlimited dinner raffle, I won a Benelli Super Nova , 3-1/2", 26" barrel, Ducks Unlimited edition with the D/U logo imprinted into the receiver. I just used it a couple of weeks ago to harvest 7 White Fronted Geese with it.

Yes. Local club raffle, fairly small total number of tickets. Buy a bunch to support the club— sometimes fate is kind.

National raffles? I don’t waste my time or money.

I won a rifle 4 or 5 years ago in a TSRA raffle. That was after 15 years of buying tickets in the various raffles they did. More recently, I found some of the raffles that give away a gun a week. I won one in one of those.

I doubt I am ahead as far as money spent, but I am a sucker for gun raffles. I will pretty much buy into any of them I hear about.

Yes
Within the last couple years I won a Springfield Armory 1911. One of the higher end ones although I don't remember now what they called it. I never even opened the box. I sold it the next day for $500.

You start winning more than one gun multiple years in a row at your club's wild game dinner, and your friends get jealous, even though you spend a lot of money. It doesn't matter that you buy a ticket for every drawing, it's the fact that you won and they didn't win anything. You then buy additional tickets here and there for a monthly drawings at other sportsman's clubs and win, and no one says a thing. It's all good and so is winning!

Yes I have. One of my daughter's liberal friends was complaining on Facebook about a school offering tickets for a S&W AR rifle, so I decided to support the school and bought $100 worth of tickets. A few weeks later I received a call informing me I had won the rifle. Since I already had several ARs I sold this one to a friend who gave it to his son for a birthday present. A well spent Franklin.

I've won 2 guns over the years.
Here's one. A Savage 111 FNS in .300 winmag maybe 8 to 10 years ago.
I did take the Bushnell 3X9 of and put that Leupold VX5 on it. I also won a Ruger new model blackhawk in .41 mag.

ONE TIME in 25 years. I won a Winchester 94 22 magnum. Beautiful gun but I had no use for it whatsoever. Shot it about 30 times and then sold it.

On the other hand, I have a buddy who had to build a new "gun room" because he wins guns in literally every single raffle he enters. It's unreal.

Not a raffle but I entered a drawing I saw on Facebook for a Glock 43. It was sponsored by a gun shop in my hometown 100 miles away from where I live now. I won.

Nope, Never.
In 1982 i won a door prize from a cattle feed vendor, a gallon can of Warbex cattle dip.
Since then I bought raffle tickets off and on over the years a couple thousand bucks all total, nothing to show for it.
