New Holster for a Blackhawk

This holster arrived yesterday from Bayou Custom Holsters. (Holster only, not the belt) This is my first contact with Bayou Custom holsters, and he really is a custom maker. Too many so called "custom makers" aren't. I've contacted some of the big name in holster makers only to be told "we can't deviate from our pattern."

Holster is of good weight leather and swell made:

That looks really nice. What type of retention does it use?

None of my holsters for protection utilize any loops, straps, brushes or clips. When the need arises, don't want to fool with such devices. Holsters are well fitted enough for normal use, and at my advanced age, I don't do cartwheels.


If I'm going to be engaged in any strenuous activity, I use this old stand by:

To tell the truth, I'm not fond of retentions either. and at 78 I don't do cartwheels either.:rofl:
