Thank you all....yes sir, .44 mag. Trying to get the Hawks covered :D. Have a .44 SBH now need a Super Red Hawk I guess.
Yes , a super redhawk is in order. I think they look awesome but a lot of folks think they look too weird. All business and indestructible.

A bit? A bit!?! She’s a TON of alright! That lady needs a hug right now.

Excellent gift that’s well deserved... congratulations and thank you for being there for us!

I have a similar-era .41 that’s a bit of a little brother to your .44, I really enjoy the revolver (and the caliber!).

Let us know how it shoots for you when you get a chance to shoot it. :)

Stay safe.

That is a beautiful handgun! I love the Redhawk series. Here is mine, I bought in in 1986 with a little help from my dad. I have shot many 1000's of rounds through it with zero problems. You have a winner there with both your wife and your new handgun. Enjoy!

You definitely have a nice Trifecta going on there: retirement from the Air National Guard (Congrats on that too), an awesome Redhawk to go along with your years of service, and of course, and an absolutely fantastic wife to round out the trio!

A bit? A bit!?!

"A bit of alright" sounds like something a Brit would say. Tip, tip, cheerio!

About 30 years ago I was on my European motorcycle trip. Arrived near midnight, dripping wet, at a bed & breakfast near Portsmouth. I asked the desk clerk about a washing machine and dryer. He said I could use the ones in back.

So, I changed and was sitting watching my riding clothes go around and around in the employee area of the B&B. A lady came in, frowning, and asked me if I was alright. Without thinking, I said, "oh, I'm fine". "No", she replied, "are you alright being here?" Sheepishly I explained that the clerk had allowed me to use the machines. She walked off glaring, probably thinking about stupid Yanks.

You’ll always find a touch of regional or continental dialect everywhere you roam ...some are fun and others can be really confusing. (My Grandfather on my Dads side was born in Scotland... to this day there are several things he said years ago that I never could understand!)

I’ve always used ‘a bit’ as meaning a small amount or thing... and IMHO the gift from that angel certainly wasn’t small at all :).

Stay safe.

Hey I'm envious! Not as much of the gun but of the retirement. Same branch here, sub-24 months and counting.

Oh and congrats on a great wife!

Congratulations on the retirement! What a woman! What a woman! You are lucky. The last thing my wife bought me at a sporting goods store was a jock strap. I won't pay for her new glasses because she can't see to detect my buying a new gun for myself! :)

Good catch...:D. My British mother in law knowing me as the southern Missouri t-shirt, worn out jeans wearing redneck that I am would and still says that to me every now and then when I clean myself up for church etc. I always got a kick out of it. Spot on is another one that find myself using often because of her.
