Went to the LGS to pick up a SP101 ... and laying there next to it was a new Charter DAO Bulldog in 44spl ... I asked to see it .. great lockup , a typical Charter trigger not special but better than the SP101 .. 2 bills less ... and as most of you know , I like my Charters and 44 Special... so needless to say I bought the Charter ... Im still not up to range time .. but I did swap out the grips .. Light and powerful
17.6 oz

$200 I'd buy it in a minute.

Awesome. I'm glad you found it. I was looking on Charters website the other night at their offerings. I'm kinda interested in a 45 Colt in a DA revolver that is concealable.

I have been carrying and shooting a .44 Charter since 1987. If you plan on shooting it much find the proper size screwdriver bits and keep them in your range bag because every screw on the gun WILL loosen up from recoil. Blue Loc-tite will slow it way down but get in the habit of frequently checking those screws or you will lose one. They are great little snubs but not really much fun to shoot unless you really enjoy pain. Pachmayr Compact grips work the best.
I have shot the snot out of’em over the past 35 years and you are totally correct .. a gun this light ,
I have my Charter screw driver pack ...
I really hadn’t found the recoil punishing ....
My Charter 40 S&W is a bit lively though...
