I got my first revolver today. Silver cerakote Ruger Wrangler. I must say that I am impressed. Fit and finish is head and shoulders above any Heritage I've ever handled. Smooth and even application regarding finish, though the grip frame and frame/barrel have a slight two-tone finish. Function was, to my knowledge, perfect. Also a nice tough that Ruger saw fit to use torx screw heads for most of the screws that I can see. Will attempt an update on accuracy tomorrow with proper light.

How insightful of you to phrase it that way. Obviously you have just taken the first step of a life long obsession. :D:evil:

...but don’t let this happen to you. :)

Now you need a Blackhawk, an SAA clone, a couple of single sixes. Then start over with group #2 all of the above in Bisley or Birdshead grip configuration. Then move on to Colt SAAs, Freedom Arms big bores.....
Oh Crap are you in for a ride!
Don’t forget the ubiquitous top breaks and war surplus. And the small bore double action revolvers in calibers so antiquated even the experts aren’t sure what they are. And then there are the rescues...

It never ends. :):cool::D

No. What you really need is an open top single action. In .38 Long Colt. One of the .36 caliber frame conversions. And a front stoker of the same model. Once you get into the hard stuff - triple Fine - your life will never be the same. :)

Very cool man! I just picked up a Wrangler myself last week. Put 150 rounds through it the same day I picked it up. No issues at all. Very accurate. Easy to shoot and operate, and it’s a lot of fun. .22 is still relatively cheap and easy to find too.

I’ve only recently got into guns, but from my limited experience, it seems that Ruger makes some really great stuff for a very reasonable price. I want to get a .357 revolver one day like a 686 or gp100, but this wrangler is way cheaper and tons of fun. Very happy with mine. I think you’ll really enjoy it.

Trigger pull on mine is a crisp 3.5lbs. Two of my single sixes measured 4.25 and 4.5lbs.
