I'll bet the other guy is pretty happy to have primers.

I call that a win-win situation.

.02 primer for .08 bullet
.08 bullet for .20 primer
Who got the better deal lol. Both sides can claim they just scored a steal of a deal.

Recently, I was standing in line at Academy Sports and struck up a conversation with the fellow next to me. I mentioned that I was looking for small rifle primers, and he mentioned that he was looking for small pistol primers. Academy had neither and had very little factory ammunition.

I've bought a brick of small pistol primers every now and then since the last shortage and have plenty. I suggested a straight-up swap. We exchanged phone numbers. He called me the next day, and we met in the Home Depot parking lot and made the swap. Two happy hand loaders

If you can spare 4400 SPP and still have enough to load the bullets you now have more power to you. I would like to know where on the planet you can get primers right now for $.02. I sure would like to have some.

Another success story from the files of "Buy 'em cheap and Stack 'em deep".
Also, this is one reason I don't keep massive quantities of reloaded ammo in boxes. Having raw components to trade can be helpful.

Your a better man than I am, primers are one thing I won't part with. No way, no how.

I donated 1/2 a brick each of SPP to an uncle and a friend of the family a few months ago. Uncle reloads, but wife / fear of Covid has him on ~lock down~. F of F was contemplating reloading but apparently decided since then he doesn't have the time.
No worries, I'll get the brick back on my next trip up there if they haven't used 'em by then.

OT:
Always good that folks with disproportionate amounts of components are willing to trade/sell what they have a lot of for something they need/can use. I had an over-abundance of pistol powder that I was able to sell here recently. It works good for everyone!

I'm good for LRP and LPP's. Been using what little SRP for 357 Mag, they work great but I'm down to 3k left.
Chatts not that far away. I have a house in North GA. Could do a FTF to avoid huge shipping costs.

Primers will come back people. Slow the roll! Keep what you need and trade for what you want

Recently traded 4k of SPP for 4K of LPM primers to help a young guy from my gun club. He only reloads .38 and 9, so he bought the LPMs in hopes to be able just to trade them. Said he paid $75 per brick.

I could spare the SPP and still be comfortable with my remaining stock level.
