I EDC an Opinel 6 Carbon blade and/or a Case Bone Sodbuster.
occasionally I backpocket carry a single blade trapper, either a Camillus or a Case trapper that has th eSpey blade removed.

First things that come to mind:
Civivi odium, rustic gent, or elememtum
Cjrb ria or small feldspar
Sog terminus xr
Spyderco para 3 or sage 5

This thread reminds me that I need to order his-and-hers Spyderco Delica knives, so that we can be ready to travel, if/when the health regs allow. I have had a Spyderco Delica blunted trainer, for longer than I can remember, but have never gotten around to acquiring the sharpened version.

A place in Maryland is on our list of places to photograph birds.

The NYS Court of Appeals, their highest court, has also ruled that assisted openers fall into the same category as switchblades, which are illegal.

Now out of date with the Knife Rights bill passed and signed in NY a couple of years ago.

Stay out of Maryland. It's California East and a complete dump run by evil people. Go to Virginia; it hasn't fallen apart yet despite Northam's best efforts.

There were a couple of pertinent items in the last two years. One involved a bill making gravity knives legal, the other, a court case, said assisted knives were now switchblades, which are illegal.

Unless there was another bill making assisted knives and switchblades legal, I believe that law is still in effect.
