What Are Your Gun/Shooting Related Goals for 2021?

I want to set up a organized work bench and ammo storage space that makes sense.
I'd like to display my guns (privately in my home) so that at least I can see them daily. But a safe is not out of the question.
I want to actually shoot some of my ammo instead of collecting it.
I'll need to join a new gun club/range in the Hanover, PA area.
I need to decide whether to commit to SASS shooting or not.
Can't let politics unnerve me but I can't stick my head in the sand either.
I saw an awesome setup in this guys vault, it's kind of hard to describe but it looked like specialized or custom racks that lock each gun into place, sort of like the racks you see at dicks sporting but nicer, higher quality looking ones. I was there doing electrical work in this guys walk in CC video monitored vault, I have never seen so much expensive guns, gear, military equipment, ammo, etc... in one place. I wanted to take a picture so I could look for a similar way to store my guns but I thought it would be in poor taste, and also look bad on the surveillance cams.

I have a pretty fair inventory of ammunition and reloading supplies for my “survival” weapons, the ones that feed and protect my loved ones so I think I’ll just sit on my supplies till I see how things shake out. I can scratch the shooting itch with my air rifles. I’ve been meaning to start fishing a lot more so I guess now would be a good time to start.

Buy a mid range scope $700, reload more, tie more fly's. Shoot as often as ammo supply allows. Fish and boat more. Don't let political BS get me down. No TV news or vapid modern television.
As much as I feel it's every citizens duty to be apprised of current events and know what's coming down the pipe to be able to fight against it. Part of me just wants to never turn the television on again and disable all media feeds. I would probably be happier. In fact, on days that I don't turn on the news in the morning, I have a much better day. I usually leave the house feeling like I just chugged a quart of vinegar.

My daily sentiments exactly.. PERFECT

Burn up every primer I have in the house, and every primer I can find. Burned up another 100 each of small rifle and small pistol today. The race is on and here comes..... :)

How so? Training? Hunting? Teaching new shooters? Pest control? Inexpensive range time? Convenience?

I am currently using air guns for all of the above but hunting.

For me, I imagine training, trigger time, backyard targets, cheap, and if I can...pest control. Not quite sure on the legalities for that one.

I do plan to buy more guns but id like to recover from the 30 I bought last year. I do hope things normalize politically, id like to get a couple of supressors.

Id like actually go shoot a lot of my milsurp rifles that I've bought this year finally.

I'm not going to buy any more firearms , rather I will spend my $$$ on any ammo and reloading supplies that I can get my hands on.

My sentiments exactly. I have enough supplies to do me for a bit, but I intend to get a few things each month until I feel "comfortable".

Mine arrives tomorrow. Wife's pistol is on order currently, should be in next week. I always thought airguns were for kids, but it sure helps my .22 lr stock if I can plink with $1.99 pellets. Talk about an epiphany.

My goals this year are:
  1. Get my wife and son out shooting as much as possible; this is why we are shooting mainly BP lately as it seems as though it isn't being as affected by this panic like the modern firearms and ammunition.
  2. Trying to obtain more ammunition to maintain my and my family's proficiency; this will allow us to hit the range more often. In normal years we went every month; this past year has been every 4-5 months only when ammo was available.
  3. Do more trap shooting; my brother and I took our father out this past weekend; what a great time we all had and shotgun shells aren't being affected as much by the panic either.
  4. I would like to purchase 4 more firearms this year: an 1853 Enfield Rifle musket reproduction (thinking about getting into NSSA), an 1851 Colt Navy for the wife and kids to shoot, a muzzleloading shotgun, and an 1860 Colt Army revolver.
Not to get off topic, before we can do all this the wife and I are trying to buy a house. The family has grown and out homestead just doesn't cut it anymore. Was looking actively earlier in 2020 before all this Covid silliness hit and the lockdowns put the kibosh on it. We are actively looking again and hopefully we can move soon; its tough right now because the market is so tight; not much for sale.

I have enuf reloads to last me til it freezes over.
I will spend a number of months refinishing gun stocks. I will not go shooting until this summer at the state range.
To safely get around I have to use a walker--it is a pain but gets the job done---when I am on the bench everything is fine.
Take care & enjoy.

Well, my wife has underlying health conditions, so, not much shooting is anticipated, for the first half of 2021, other than some plinking, on occasion, on a remote piece of real estate. She will have to wait at least three more months to get vaccinated, and I am, technically, in the healthiest 16% category of the population, so will have to wait longer. Maybe, in mid-year, I/We can think about setting some shooting goals.

Thankfully, for the plinking part, I just managed to find a bit of .22 LR at Midway USA today. We could use some refreshing of our aging .38 Special and .357 Mag, so I remain alert for opportunities.

Notably, I was able to check some long-term boxes, in 2020, regarding firearms acquisitions, so may well give that a rest, in 2021.
