Remington caps

Will Remington caps dry up now that they sold out or will someone continue to make Remington caps. The Remington #10 fit most of my guns best but are always hard to find.

Vista Outdoor Products bought most of Remington Ammunition for $81.4 million and is ramping up production.
In Nov. 2020, Vista said that they were bringing back 300 employees from layoffs and needed to fill a year's worth of ammunition back orders.
That shows that Vista has made a firm committment to produce goods to pay back the loan that they used to buy the company with.
I think that they had recently shipped some large orders of caps to Cabela's /Bass Pro because they were shipping them directly to homes.
Plus many of their stores had them in stock.

the store in springtown has caps but they are hella expensive 10 dollars per 100. I ordered # 10 caps from bass pro shop for the 27.50 pe 1000 and they never arrived I was charged but they never came in after 6 months I had to ask for my money back and in the last year I dont know of anyone who has been able to buy them at the grapevine store tthanks

My guns prefer remington number 10s as well... if they are no longer going to be available I guess I'll have to get a crapload of new nipples that fit whatever caps we can find better. I used to complain about paying $6/100 for remington #10s at cabelas. Just goes to show you never know what you have until it's gone. :(

I can't find ANY caps locally and haven't been able to for months.

I bought some Rem 11s from DGW a bit ago. They were behind 3-4 weeks on fulfilling orders though and that was 2 weeks ago so I really don’t know if they will ever get here.

They were in stock though and then became out of stock so I suppose they did exist in DGWs inventory at least.

Something I learned recently, nipples that fit # 10 caps can be shortened and made to fit #11 caps. Diameter needs to be .165 to .170. I just recently acquired a Walker pistol that had the # 10s fitted, since I don't use #10s I took some measurements and shortened the set, it worked out as the hammer just touches the nipple at rest.
