New Video from Pres. of Federal

Of the primers I have found and bought during this time, both boxes say federal. Havent seen or been told a tale of any cci or remmington. Hopefully renoke gets up to speed sooner than later.

Actually there is something almost earthshaking...take a look at how the primers come flying out of the machine and are vigorously handled by the worker.

I’m presuming (without any basis in experience or fact) the primer compound is not yet dry at this point in the process lest we’d see a far more delicate operation or see a worker in an EOD suit.

2020 created a lot of new gun owners fueling demand. As CNN and the rest of the mainstream media keep hammering them with how everything is fine now that Trump is gone and Harris-Biden are in command, that demand is going to plummet through 2021. We're going to have to suffer through this for a while yet, but there will again come a day when you can buy a box of primers at Bass Pro.

Vista Outdoor owns Federal, CCI, Speer and Remington. I'm thinking VSTO stock ($29.31) might be a good play.
52 week low/high has been $4.29--$30.15. Next earnings report is Feb. 4th, which should blow away consensus estimates. Buy now or wait for a dip?

Could be, but maybe not. By the time it’s discussed on Internet forums, I’d say the smart money has already done what it’s going to do.

But, I don’t have the temperament for stock trading so what do I know? Good luck.

Vanderbrink has some balls to demand those watching his video "buy American" while screwing the reloaders by starving them of primers. In Speer 13, page 38, his own company pats itself on the back by claiming that "we consider components for reloaders a core business" and goes on to brag how they continued to ship primers during a previous panic and how "during that time, CCI never raised the price it charged distributors for primers".

Well, circumstances haven't changed, but Vanderbrink's priorities have.

If Fiocci, S&B, and Wolf return to the US, then he's going to have to compete with them on price and quality to earn my business. I wouldn't care less where components are made, and I'll gladly buy from the manufacturers who didn't turn their back on reloaders.

Why aren’t the foreign manufacturers importing to USA?

It didn't bother Vanderbrink at all to tell us that they were soaking up all of their primers and powder and their ammunition business comes first. Only excess capacity in primers would be sold on the open market and that statement probably includes Reloader powders. It bothers me to hear about all of the primers and powder on backorder because while they are filling all these orders we get nothing. It looks like Hodgdon and Vihtavuori would work with their long term contracts and give us some powder.

My own boss doesn’t give me inside information into the business I work for. Anything I hear I take with a grain of salt.

Anything a big wig at a company says about his company, I take with a grain of salt. There’s lots of moving parts, politics, panic and competition in the ammo industry so videos from presidents mean nothing to me. (nothing against the OP)

I too am skeptical by nature and this video is not real meaty.

But, I doubt that it’s untrue (and I’m not saying you said it was). Vista is a publicly traded company and the SEC loves to enforce the rules even more under democratic administrations.
