Right-side front of trigger guard relieved so I can easily move my trigger-finger from a safe position on the frame to the trigger easily.

I left the matte finish on the top-strap of course.

First time I have seen this modification, and I like it !!

Nice Revolver overall, thanks for sharing.

Taurus model 415 .41 Magnum.
I shot a Taurus (.38 spl) once. It was dismal. It looked like a nice S&W clone, but, it shot & felt like crap.
Over the years, I've seen a few Taurus .22lr that tempted me - only because S&W 17/18s were so scarce & expensive once you did find one.

Having said that......I'd pay some serious money to have a Taurus M415 .41 magnum. The closest I've been able to come is the 2.75" S&W M69 in .44magnum.

Enjoy yours!
(this Taurus-hater is more than a tad envious)

Charter has a .41 snubbie that's probably easier to find than the Taurus.
Too large for my tastes & I'm not a fan of CA - plus - there isn't anywhere local I can go to handle one before I buy it.
I'm not real sold on the idea of buying something I'm not fond of to begin with, sight unseen.

Thanks though! :)

I'll hold out for a S&W L frame snub - like the M69, but in .41 mag.

Very nice Michael. First I'm happy to se another .41mag fan like myself. I also have the 415 and really like the gun. I have done a lot of work on the action and trigger since it is my concealed carry gun and it is as smooth as any other revolver I own. I also minimally dehorned the whole gun for carry. Though I love the way the factory grips help absorb the thump when gun goes off, I have always wanted a nice set of wood grips for it. I have yet to find anyone who makes any or even a custom grip maker that could make one for me. I don't know who made those grips on your gun but they are a real work of art. With grips like that I would want to open carry (see Bar-B-Que Gun here in Texas) instead of concealed carry like I currently do.

There used to be someone on ebay from Thailand that made grips for some guns you couldn't find elsewhere. I haven't look in a year or two to see if he is still around. Some said they were very close and with a little work they would fit better. The wood was usually pretty nice.

Bill Jordan had massive hands and modified the trigger guard on his model 19 in a similar manner.
He let me try it. I liked it, but my hands are not big enough to justify the modifications to my guns.

I am finding myself strangely pleased with the grips. They are to my eye something my cousin, Strangely Brown, may very well have appreciated with some greatliness. I am most grateful for your sharing of this artistry.
