Not enough snow here to worry about, but it's been cold for weeks. I was planning on going ice fishing over on Hawkins Reservoir with a couple of buddies yesterday morning. I ended up having to go to the dentist's office instead. I haven't got the bill yet, but even with insurance, I think that trip to the dentist's office will probably end up costing me more than all of my ice fishing equipment put together.:uhoh:
Oh, well. You can't even take your ice fishing equipment with you, and maybe what I pay the dentist and his assistants will help one of them go out and buy a gun or two.;)

I've been on a couple of ice fishing trips that made a trip to the dentist look like fun.

You could have prepped for the next hurricane.

Prep? For what? Big wind, lots of rain. Big deal. Other than keeping the trees trimmed and making sure the roof doesn't leak, what is there to prep? If you mean stock up on canned goods, dry goods, butane for the indoor cooktop and propane bottles for the outdoor grill, that's SOP. They announce these storms a week in advance, track them 24/7, predict hundreds of scenarios... and people are still caught off guard?

That's not a lack of preparedness, it's a lack of grey matter.
