What horribly ugly, cheap, and expensive? Take a look inside!

The whole gun looks what space aged was in the 50’s or 60’s. And yeah, is that yours? If so give us a story of how and where you got it. And a video range report. I’d have to shoot it if it was mine but man, we think we’ve got problems getting replacement ammo.

Too bad it's the Mark I and the Model *B* at that.;)

That was after the penny-pinchers and lawyers got involved and cheapened it up with MIM parts, safety crutches, low-capacity and un-pinned barrels. Don't even get me started on firing all the assembly craftsmen for fitting and finishing like on the earlier models.

I guess the brite-side is it is not the Mark III with the safety bill-board and map-quest directions on the gun.:D

Seriously though, all I usually see are the Mark IIs. This thing is cool.

Me? I would HAVE to shoot it... at least twice. You know, just to be sure.

Todd.

I guess since it fires rockets it doesn't have to contain explosions, so that explains the cheesy pot metal look with casting lines.

Piece of history, interesting for a collection, but not much appeal to me as an actual working "firearm".

I was fascinated by those when they came out.

The concept was pretty neat, the jet blast imparted spin to stabilize the projectile. I think the four vent rounds were very early. Later versions had 2 vents. (Did I remember that right)

And, the continued to accelerate after they left the muzzle. But, that meant they had low velocity up close.

absolutely great pictures of a relic from by gone days.

Kind of like the Farrah Fawcett poster in the red swimsuit...

A friend of mine still has one after about 40 years. When he first got it we shot it in the garage of his trucking terminal, It was pretty exciting when the round hit the back stop it turned around and headed back in our direction!!! I still have the spent round somewhere.
I think the last box of 50 rounds I saw went for $2,500.00 at auction.
