You might consider a peep sight. I have them on several of my center fire rifles in various forms as well. They are easy to see even with bifocals and incredibly accurate. I really enjoy them. I have the original match aperture sights on my FWB 300 S and I know for a fact I’m more accurate on bullseye targets than I am with a scope. The Williams on this little HW 30 accounted for a lot of grasshoppers last summer:) AC02EE74-54A7-4ED5-8904-3892D02B4041.jpeg 13DCB91F-9E5E-4247-8D59-910C7CD1B9A0.jpeg

I'll look at peep, I've never had one.
Where do you get yours?

I dont have one yet. You don't need to send yours, but i am looking for suggestions.
Do you like the Hawke2-7x?
Well enough. Its an ok scope. Holds zero on my spring gun, and focus down to 10yds. I went back to the trs-25 on the springer tho, i just dont shoot them consistently, and not being able to see how bad the misses are makes me feel better.........
Im not going to remount it, im done buying springers and have better option for my .22s etc. So if youd like it your welcome to it.

On my qb-78 ive got an Athlon Argos hmr, which Ive talked to the Athlon customer service about and they said it should be fine on a spring gun. Were i to suggest a scope thats likely to be the one i would just because i have experience with it.

I think i just want a new scope on par with my late favorite Nikon brand scopes. I may try a peep, just because I have always heard their praises, but never tried one.

I titled the thread correctly.
I cant believe that as much as i love shooting sports, that i have neglected getting a air rifle for so long!. I am inside on a crappy, cold January day, getting ready to shoot in my warm shop. I have a plywood backer and a steel plate stop. Why have I not been doing this all along?
I have scarcely shot since I rolled a semi on April 6th 2020, tearing my biceps tendon. With a little padding this airgun doesn't bother my shoulder.
Woohoo! I'm shooting!

I have the same Williams peep on my HW30 .177.

Wait until ya get a really nice airgun :p actually for indoors at short range with the medical issue ya should buy a R-7 or HW 30.... plenty of power for the indoor and some short range pesting but it will be EASY on the arm/shoulder... and the hatsan wont go to waste... your boy likes it :) oh or one of the CMP daisey single stroke pnumatic refurbs for like 100... with decent peep sights on it are great for indoor!

A bit of an update for this thread to pay homage to Airgun Depot.
Adam D and the others that I have correspondence with gave been very helpful in resolving my faulty scope issue, and I have a new Hawke 3x9x50mm and rings on order.

I have been shooting the hatsun 95 a little. I am impressed with the rifle. Trigger is good, accuracy is good, and it hits hard. Most pellets blow right through the ¾" plywood and into the steel plate backstop. I feel like this rifle is quite capable of hunting small game at 25-35yds, maybe more.

There is also the Hatsan 135. It’s 4 feet long and a little more than 10 pounds.

The 95 is a 20 fpe gun. The 135 makes 30 fpe.

It shoots like the 95 except for the size and power.

I do my shooting standing unsupported so I get tired after 20 shots. It’s really too big for me, but it is a nice shooter for bigger and stronger folks.
