What are your next 5 gun purchases?

Not quite a zombie thread revival. So then, hmmm, my next five?

1. I have on order a stainless CVA Scout in .44 magnum.
2. A full size stainless 1911 preferably the SA Loaded.
3. A .44 magnum or .45 Colt Marlin 1894 (by Ruger) (might settle for a Henry All-Weather in .44 Magnum).
4. A stainless Ruger Super Blackhawk.
5. A pump or auto modern shotgun in 12 gauge as all of my such equipment is old/busted/worn out and not friendly to modern shot shell loadings.

WWII Milsurps and firearm's (technology) that was developed during but finished after WWII

Cool i have a CVA wolf My neighbor used it for hunting this year. I had it zeroed at 50 yards. He shot it at 100 and the bullet hit an inch left of the bullseye. With Hornady Pa conical s. That helped me decide on a 44 mag. He had a optima. But let bore go. It was bad almost looked like a file. He learned a lesson on keeping black powder guns cleaned. I re-cleaned mine when he was done with it. I couldn't use it this year. Disconnected my right quadricep. So im on the mend. .

Not in any particular order;

1. Blue Belgium Browning Hi-power
2. Series 70 Colt Gold Cup
3. S&W Model 27, 3-1/2 barrel, blue, pinned and recessed.
4. S&W Model 52 (just because)
5. A custom Nighthawk 1911

Possibilities; A friend is talking about selling his "F" class rifle. A custom Remington 700 in 6mm BR
Another friend has a Remington 40X in 223 that I'm lusting over.
The same friend has an older 1911 Bullseye gun made by one of the late greats that I want

I'll buy which ever one of these that pop up at a fair price. The Nighthawk may be wishful thinking.

What are your next 5 gun purchases?

Well here's the problem. While I would like very much to have a Colt Series 70 gun in 9mm if a Browning Hi Power happened to come along it would trump the Colt. My first gun was over 60 years ago and ever since then I never knew what my next gun would be. Thinking back over the years I want to think only a few next guns were actually known. I visit a gun shop and see an interesting gun priced right and I buy it, within reason. Several months ago I came into a 16 gauge shotgun and a pair of 1911 pistols. My uncle passed away and my aunt wanted me to have his shotgun. Hell other than buying and selling shotguns when my wife and I owned a gun shop I never owned a shotgun. I do now. That same aunt's father had passed and she had two 1911 guns. One was a five digit serial number Colt US Government (1914 manufacture) the other a Kahr Arms 1911. I bought both the 1911 guns but had never planned on them. I would say 90% of the guns I have I never actually planned to have. :) They just sort of happened.

Mine has actually changed, but not because of the pandemic/shortage but because of what my friends are shooting and some negative reviews I've read about what I wanted. I was really holding out for a SCAR but everyone I knows who has one, and all the reviews are not great, so I decided to just get the st victor 556 that was down the list instead. Also an MPX carbine since I can make 9mil for like 12 cents a round.

St Victor 556 16"
Browning Gold 10
Sig MPX Carbine
26 or 28 nosler
inline muzzleloader

I don’t have 5 purchases planned out.
I have 2 planned.

1. Ruger Redhawk 5050 .45 ACP / .45 Colt
2. Ruger Redhawk 5059 .357 Mag 8 shot revolver.
I had actually planned to by either a S&W TRR8 or an M&P R8 but S&W ticked me off over their antics with a model 60 Pro, which I sold. If the Rugers make me happy I will move forward and that will be great. If not, I may consider one of the new S&Ws.

3, 4 and 5 may be older S&W revolvers. Possibly a nice original Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt. I am really not sure. Heck, maybe I will buy me a Glock 21. Nothing is set in stone...except that first Ruger.

Quoting myself here...it’s interesting how things change, or plans change...

I haven’t acquired any of the guns I mentioned above.
I did buy another Glock 34 Gen 3 as I have wanted a matching pair for years. The run on guns made all my selections scarce.
I also acquired one of my “Grail Guns”, a Colt Detective Special.

So rather than modify my list I will just say, I will acquire things if / when they become available. I have actually been considering skipping the Redhawks altogether and getting myself a couple Ruger Blackhawk Convertibles. One in .45 Colt / .45 ACP and one in .357 / 9mm. Then again I recently read about the new Super GP100 .357 magnum. I would love to see one in person.

Cheers

Mine won't be a gun, it will be a new barrel, although I would like a nice bolt action .22 LR one of these days.

1. Glock 43x. I just don't think I'll be able to resist the urge get it, to really compare and contrast with my P365. And I've never owned a Glock, so it'll be a new experience.
2. Something AR15ish, but I'm appallingly ignorant about the platform, so I don't yet know what it will be. Got to shoot a Saint a while back, and that was extremely enjoyable.
3...4...5.... Probably depends on what bee gets in my bonnet, what I decide to sell, etc.

already purchased 4 of them
savage 10 storm 6.5
bergara ridge 6.5
walther ppq 9mm
ruger 5.56 ranch

looking to purchase
sig p365xl 9mm

also sold five to make room for new purchases in safe

Got tired of looking for a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt and ended up getting an Uberti. My first "load one, skip one" single action. It is a range/fun gun and I don't intend to hot-rod it at all, so it will do for now. Besides, the pricing was pre-pandemic which is a big plus!

Wasn't my first choice, but the Uberti is growing on me over time. I figure I can hopefully get a Ruger (preferably a Blackhawk convertible) later on when things get back to normal.

Only five:( next five:)

First I would like to pick up a large caliber revolver 44 mag / 454 or 10mm auto.

2) Bond Arms Rowdy 45/410 purchased in September
3) Ruger American 6.5 CM
4) 45/70 Lever Action
5) nice 22lr left handed bolt.

The 44 mag still number 1 or 2 in a Ruger Redhawk or S&W M69.
2 & 3 - small j frame size 38 or 357 & a Charter Arms 44 special.
4- ammo, ammo, and ammo
5- whatever trips my trigger

Number four is putting a delay on the others. Supply will improve just may take a little time

My next 5 gun related purchases probably won't be guns.
1) Maybe another Alpha Wolf G17L threaded barrel or a G35 threaded barrel for my Recover Tactical braces hosts.
2) Glock or ETS extended capacity magazines for 9mm and/or .40 S&W.
3) Extra magazines for any and all firearms I own.
4) Optics for a) my turkey shotgun, or b) my Marlin 336 .30-30.
5) One of the soon to be released Recover Tactical braces for Glock G20 or G21.(Shoulda kept my mouth shut here.)
