Post up your favorite, out of the box, no mods needed, auto loader! Mine is my Sig 226 Legion! Sig just nailed it in my opinion. I love the grips, the sights, the trigger, the color, the under cut frame, it fits my paws perfectly. It shoots as good as it looks, it easily out shoots me, stacking all bullets in one hole at 25’ for as long as I can hold. Let’s see your favorite:)

Based on the amount of time we’ve spent together it would have to be my Kahr P9. For just coolness factor it’s probably my S&W 1086. The night sights are now thoroughly dead but otherwise it’s still my favorite 10mm.

I guess "favorite" is subjective.

Favorite design? As in, what do I own the most of?
That would be either 1911 or S&W K/N-frame revolver.

What do I shoot best? See above.

What do I EDC these days?
A Kahr PM9. I shoot it reasonably well and can carry it anywhere, every day.

Colt Series 70, .45 ACP. No, it's not "out of the box", but has nothing added that is not a stock item by todays standards.
My favorite has been shot a lot, and obviously carried.View attachment 977649

Nice! That is a great looking "working man's" pistol. It's the real deal. This is one I carried for quite some time. Not polished - but good looking and reliable. If all else failed, my plans were to go into club mode. I prefer to carry a full size 1911 still.

I'm a revolver guy, so I don't have a "favorite" semi. I've owned a bunch but these days I'm down to really just a Ruger Security 9 Compact. This little thing just shoots. It's not so much that I really like it, as much as I can't find anything to not like about it. It's replaced a compact revolver as my EDC, mostly because I shoot it a lot better than I ever did any small revolver, plus all the other "advantages" of a semi over a revolver. One other thing. The next time it malfunctions, will be the first time.

And in no doubt a fit of madness I recently picked up a Gl....Glo....GlocK!! There I said it. A Glock. A Gen 5 that was just laughing at me from the used case at my LGS. It was daring me to take it home. I haven't shot it yet, but since I don't have a lot of semi's, I guess this one is in second place behind the Ruger. Fits my hand better than the Glocks with the finger grooves. It has a very good trigger (for a Glock of course). I'm really looking forward to getting this one to the range so I can start finding things I don't like about it. (Seriously, we had a G-19 some years ago, and I sorta liked it...for not being a revolver and all.)

Auto loaders?!?
Ok, I like the this one best

Ultra beautiful & compact ... Errrrr.

Not much on the bottom feeders but if I I'm going to shoot them I prefer something that has a little zip to it. G20 is about as good as it gets for power and capacity , yeah some hold more- but they're lower powered . yeah, some are more powerful, but they hold a lot less. It's probably the second best glock, not much out there that's better.

Out of the box fav is my P220 Compact SAO. Accurate and fits my hand perfectly. Close second is my P229 40SW - my daily carry.

My favorite semi auto?

I gotta say an Allison with maybe and Eaton as a close second.

Actually though, some pages back I shared that my favorite would be *a* 1911.

Recently though, I had opportunity to do a thing and could only bring one side-arm. The deliberation only really centered on two guns; my High Power 88 and Get-1 Kimber. Choosing took so little time that it's clear that the Kimber is my Favorite of everything in the house. Just an exceptional all-'round workhorse that happens to drill holes.

This is my '68 Commercial, which is my favorite. I use Ed Brown magazines. Terry Tussey improved the trigger and machined the ejection port a while back, and I replaced the plastic stocks which no longer fit well, otherwise it's as purchased.

I've tried the double actions but was never satisfied with the trigger that the 1911's gave me. This is a 9mm Commander. About the same weight as the trendy polymers out now. It only holds 9 rounds. This will be my primary carry when I can get an IWB holster for it.
