NOTE: THIS THREAD IS DIRECTED ONLY AT GUNS-WAREHOUSE.COM, NOT AT ANY OTHER FIREARMS DEALER NAMED GUNS WAREHOUSE.

I almost got taken for $1210.00 for a S&W Gold Cup Competition .45 ACP. Getting a couple payments declined in Google Pay that got me to start wondering if the site was legit or not is what saved me. The same scam business used to operate as firearms-online.com. The site has all the red flags: fictitious address that shows another firearms dealers storefront when you enter the address in Google Maps; phone number that never answers; asked for payment in crypto currency; no place to enter FFL information; plus some other tricks like a bogus real time ticker that shows number of orders in last 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc. The only response comes from <[email protected]>. AVOID THIS SITE! SPREAD THE WORD TO OTHER GUN OWNERS!

Yeah, I've seen a few recently that seems too good to be true. Saw 1,000 round of PMC 223 for $339. It even had a chat box and I asked them a question and it seemed like a robot answer of something like we cannot answer that question at this time. They only took payments in bitcoin or google pay.

I only will do business with credit card for something sketchy. If they won't accept credit card, then there is probably a good reason behind it and you should find out why, but not by giving them online cash or bitcoin.

Who the hell would pay for a gun using Bitcoin? Seriously.
Yeah, I found a Taurus TX22 that I needed for a customer and there was only one place that had it semi-affordable. When I tried to pay they claimed that they had trouble with my credit card and suggested using Bitcoin. I tried my other card. Still not able to process it. Wanted Bitcoin. I have never had problems with my credit cards so I said bye.

Yep, the need for crypto currency or gift cards usually indicates that the card processors won't touch 'em. Pics are often pasted from the internet and there is no assurance that they have what they say. Please be careful, as it is a target-rich environment for scammers.

I would suggest you track charges on those cards very, very closely. One of the profit-centers for these fake 'pop-up' sites is credit information harvesting.

S&W Gold Cup..... I think that alone would have put a hitch in my gidde-up.

I wonder if Guuglepay recognized the scamtastic nature of things, precipitating the failure to transfer?

Todd.

I’m just curious what you consider semi-affordable for a TX22? Not being critical, I’ve never see a TX22 for anything but a reasonable price.

There are so many scams these days buying a gun online is risky. If I want something new I let my FFL order it. He gets the transfer fee and a small percentage. If it's used from an individual I want to be talking to someone one the phone and I want it delivered to an FFL to ship. I then talk to the FFL and ask if they have the firearm in hand. When they have it I use Pay Pal to fund the seller.

They had this at $235 which was close to wholesale. All others at that time was $285-$300. You need to realize that I get most of my guns through distributors at wholesale price.

I wouldn't trade bitcoin in lieu of Fd Rs Notes for a gun. BTC has so much more potential.

NEVER, never-ever buy or bid on a ''S&W'' ''Gold Cup''

The next never-never-ever? Don't admit anything about it.

Others on a short list DO NOT BUY...

Honda Camaro
Ford 2500 pickup
3 story Ranch house
dehydrated water

Have to certainly agree. I may bid on a S&W 1911PC or a Colt Govt. Gold Cup NM but not on a S&W Gold Cup.

If you use PayPal for a gun purchase and get scammed, who will you report it to in order to reverse the charges?

Stay safe.

Don’t knock the dehydrated water. It’s so much lighter to carry. I just need to figure out what to add…

I gotcha... but PayPal will seize your account and the account of the seller if you’re paying for guns with their service, so you won’t get anything back if you’re scammed. (Better off paying with a credit card ;).)

Let’s all hope these clowns stop this nonsense soon .

Stay safe.

Agreed. PayPal is just as much of a gamble as sending cash if anything goes wrong.
