I'm guessing that it's because that bill is dead on arrival, it will never make it out of committee. It has one sponsor, pretty bombastic proposals, and has no support. It's being introduced so the gentlewoman from Texas gets to campaign on being tough on..... I don't know, crime? So any discussion on it typically devolves pretty quickly into fear mongering and partisan political discourse.

HR127 is simply not viable. Every session some anti introduces a bill so outrageous it has no chance of even getting a committee hearing. The congressperson who introduces it uses it to fundraise and virtue signal. On our side the pro gun organizations use it to fundraise and more recently the youtubers use it to scare monger and get views.....

There is simply no reason to waste electrons discussing something that has no chance of becoming law. That discussion will inevitably turn political and get shut down. That’s why the threads are shut down.

If HR127 ever gets co-sponsors and starts becoming a serious threat it will be worth talking about. Until then it’s just a waste of electrons.

Why do the moderators keep silencing discussion regarding HR 127?
If you really want to beat it to death, start a thread on it at NoTechTyranny, but be warned, it can be a pretty brutal free for all and there are a couple very sanctimonious members there who have nothing better to do all day than troll anything they consider "wrongthink."

You wont get the last word in, ever.
