Well, I guess Biden's anti-gun manufacturer agenda has begun and NJ is the first to jump on his bandwagon. I just have to wonder: who's going to make guns and ammo for law enforcement and US military when all of our gun and ammo manufacturers are out of business?

The Uncle Sam Ammo Plant for ammo, and they'll just import guns from whichever US manufacturer they want that they just put out of business that moved overseas

I figured allowing the Remington lawsuit against their "marketing" practices would lead to more. S&W stock has risen higher than most of the other gun companies lately so they have deep pockets for shallow lawsuits from anti gun bureaucrats.

Boycott NJ, hit them where it hurts. Spend your money elsewhere.

Or perhaps....

SUPPORT 2A businesses within this and other imprisoned states?

I kinda recently stopped my personal (as much as possible) boycott of Kali. I'm thinking doing business w/ pro 2A gunshops & suppliers, behind enemy lines, helps that individual business MORE then my purchase in another state hurt the Kali state's purse.

That individual gun company NEEDS the financial support IMHO

So NJ is saying the s&w is using deceitful advertising by not mentioning permits. Any law abiding citizen of NJ should already know that one is needed, except for those who just moved into the state. That is ridiculous. Better to go after auto manufacturers for claiming that a particular vehicle is the best, best selling vehicle in its class, then read fine print in 3 states,.

This appears to be an attempt to quash a fishing expedition, an overly broad subpoena demanding internal documents and marketing information that is either available through less intrusive means or confidential and never intended for public consumption. I wasn't surprised to read that the NJ attorney general and the NY law firm hired by the state to impose upon the gun manufacturer refused to release information on the public funds used to compensate them, on the basis that it would disclose trial strategy. Discovery has a legitimate use but has been weaponized in recent years to inflict damage even when the defendant ultimately prevails.

Just wow. So I suppose every manufacturer now needs to tailor ads for print and media distribution specific to the laws for every state in which it may be seen? Whether they tell you that you need a permit of not, I can't see how S&W is being deceptive. It's not like it's gonna be a secret...you go to buy the gun and they ask for a permit. Viola. You've just been educated. Whether a citizen knows a permit is required or not, it's not as if S&W can change that. Car manufacturers don't warn purchasers about the need for driver's licenses.....
