When all this silliness took off in regards to panic buying and handguns flying off the shelves everywhere I had a short list of new revolvers that I was interested in buying as well as the acquisition of a Glock 34.
I was able to acquire the G34 and I was able to trade a G26 for a Colt Detective Special. The Colt was one of my “grail guns”. The only reason I got the Glock was my LGS held it back for me and gave me a good deal on it, to boot.

My list has changed a bit from what it was a few months ago and my list has no time limit, though I would like to check one of these off from my list some time soon purely for selfish reasons.

In no particular order:

Ruger Redhawk 5050 .45 ACP / .45 Colt Or the model 5058 .357 Magnum 8 shot. I have never owned a Redhawk and would like to try one out.

Ruger Blackhawk Convertible .357 / 9mm. It would be a CAS backup and fun gun. I did have the .45 Convertible on my list but I have Ruger outfitting my New Vaquero with a .45 ACP cylinder right now...if they ever get around to shipping it back to me.

S&W 27 Classic 4” and / or
S&W 586 Classic 4”
I am still mad at S&W for their QC...but, I am also a sucker for blued steel and wood.

Heritage Barkeep .22 LR - just ‘cause

Taurus 856 - love snubbies. Never owned a Taurus

Charter Arms 24420 Tiger .44 Spl - because after hanging out with you characters I think I need one and why not go a little flamboyant? :D

Now, my list is not set in stone and I do add and subtract guns as my desires change and there is the possibility that I buy other guns not on this list as opportunities present themselves. My list is all NEW model guns and doesn’t include used or out of production guns that I would like.

Do you have a list of NEW production revolvers that you would like to acquire?

My "list" of revolvers is of what I already own, which includes at least one example of every Magnum caliber S&W made during the 1960's to 1980. (M19-3, M66-1, M28-2, M48-4, M29-2, M57, M58) There are two model numbers missing (M13 and M27) but it's not urgent I find one since I have a N-frame .357, and there is also a non Magnum model of the same era I'd like to have, a M25-3 in .45 Colt. I'm not interested in new production revolvers at all.

No.

There is nothing currently being manufactured that I am interested in.

Mildly interested in a Ruger Wrangler but with 3 Three Screw Single Sixes and a bunch of S&W and Colt 22s I doubt if I will be buying one.

Not interested in anything S&W is making today, disappointed in the quality of a couple I picked up a few years ago.

Not interested in any of the new Colts, never did understand the attraction of the Python anyway.

Call me a snob, but there are no other revolver manufacturers that interest me.

In fact, all my revolver buying has pretty much ground to a halt these days and I am starting to thin out my collection.

The only thing still on my bucket list is a Registered Magnum. I suspect it will be a long time before I encounter one in reasonable condition that I can afford.

I did make one recent purchase, a 1977 Commemorative S&W Model 25-3 chambered for 45 Colt.

Hmmmmmmm I took some photos but they did not make it into my Image Shack account yet. I'll remedy that soon and post some photos.

I can't post the list of revolvers I want. Why? Bandwidth limitations and my thumb would fall off from typing. My realistic "short" list is in no particular order:

-Sp101- 3" 357
-Bfr- 5" 500 jrh
-Old vaquero- 45 colt 5"ish barrel (not current production)
-Super blackhawk bisley- 454 casull
-Older SW 25 - if I can find a decent one that's not a million $$ (Not current production )
-dan Wesson - 715 and a pile of barrels (still in production??)

I've been drooling over many S&Ws over the last 6 months or so. I just haven't been able to force myself to pony up the money due to the current higher pricing situation.

Actually, I had "bought" a nice 15-2, but something glitched in the payment process which gave me time to have buyer's remorse before actually having buyer's remorse. So, I let the sale fall through and felt better about it afterwards. :)

I'm still on the lookout for a 686+ in a 3" barrel. I wouldn't kick a 327 out of bed either, if I found it there.

One site had a 3” 686+ in stock yesterday. Sent you a PM. I started to buy one and have it shipped (thus negating the above list). The problem was, that gun’s sku number isn’t on Kaleepornia’s roster list.

Yeah, there are several that I'd like to have, but honestly, I'd just shoot them for a while and then get bored, like always. I think maybe I should have one really top-shelf gun made - something like a "best grade" from Bowen - get it engraved and ivoried, have Sparks put together a holster and belt, and then be done with buying handguns.

But then it's too pretty . I'm always relieved when my nice guns get a little beat up, then I can quit worrying about it.

So close to my list....

I just brought home my 3" sp101 last night! The next one on my list is the bisley BFR in 500JRH with a 5.5" barrel. I'd also take a ruger bisley in 454 (7.5" please) or a 480 in any reasonable barrel length. I'd also like a 45 vaquero just for fun, but a 4.62" single six would work as well.
Hearing about the upcoming ruger commemorative for Jeff Quinn gp100 44 special 4" half lug is also rather drool worthy, but price is gonna prove weather or not I end up with one.
I am also keeping my eyes open for a 3" tapered and pinned model 10, but prices have been chasing me away.

That Jeff Quinn gp is sweet, only going to make 500. They'll be rare.
I'd buy a 4" +/- gp100 in 44 special but I'd want the full underlug and stainless. Just for a walking around gun.

You've got great taste. That bfr keeps slipping through my fingers. Well it's actually the money that slips through my fingers. I've been minutes away from putting up the cash a couple times, then I find something I can't live without.

Still would like a Blackhawk in .45 Colt (preferably convertible) one day.

Also found out about the S&W model 25 in learning about .45 Colt in general. Sounds neat, but I understand it's also not particularly common and is not as tough as a Blackhawk. More of a "wish list" gun that an "on the list" gun.

I can wait for either. Prices right now are pretty crazy on everything and availability is limited. I don't see things getting better anytime soon.

I've had the BFR on a buy it now, or in an online cart 3 times now, but I am going to have to explain it to my wife when I do it. So eventually, but not right at the moment. It's hard to buy guns when you have 4 kids at home to think about, even when the money is in your hand. Something always comes up.

Sorry, I can't resist. Here is my 45 Colt/45ACP Blackhawk I bought brand-spanky new in 1975.

Here is a teaser about the Model 25-3

Same. Except I've only got 2 kids but they're both under 4 years old. My wife's frugal and cringes when I spend like a drunken sailor . coincidentally I also cuss like a drunken sailor, she hates that too . I may have missed my true calling - being a full blown drunken sailor

Only new guns I would consider are a Blakhawk 357, a birdshead rough rider, and a charter pathfinder target. Perhaps a S&W 610 but would prefer an older gun. At some point I will buy an X frame but it will be a long time from now.

Yep. That's why I'm glad the 15-2 slipped through my fingers. Got a big b-day for the wife coming (50), youngest kid to graduate college in 11 months, 2nd oldest kid going to get married next year, house needs expensive repairs, and on and on and on.
