Found this old Kinfolk in a box of dads stuff. He passed 10 years ago and this was one of the last boxes.

Researching Kinfolk is a tangled rabbit hole revolving around the Case family.
This one was identified by hso as a 1930's clip point, with bone handles, in 1095.
Blade is stained and not pitted.
My brother and I suspect dad carried it in Europe during WW2.

I wish I knew more, we are search all the old pics to see if he is wearing it.
We did find a pic of him with a Hitler Youth Knive, I also have, and his buddy told me, the gruesome story of how he got it. ( guess that explains, my temper and low tolerance, it is genetic)

Very nice! Seems to me that the vintage pieces have soul. Especially when you know a family member not only used it but might have depended on it. They have a story and history, some we might know and some we don’t, so they have some mystery as well. Something a new blade doesn’t come with.

Or maybe as I myself age I appreciate the tools that survive a generation or more. (Yeah I’m showing some patina and wear too!)
