2020 gun purchases, I think I went overboard a bit

Been on a little bit of a buying bender myself. Nothing like what the OP has done, but enough that I've parted with some serious coin. In the last months I've bought:

Sig 320 X Series Compact w/ Romeo 1

RR, ive been looking at the sig with the romeo sight on it. Can it still be used a IWB EDC with the sight on it?

Nice firearms everyone need to go back and look again. I bought a S&W M&P 9mm SPEC on sale just before the shutdown March 2020 it's . Then went looking for AR rifle and bought Model 19-2 and a couple months later a 22/45 for Christmas. No more guns for me except maybe a .22 rifle , thinking about sending M19 to Fords for Master Blue.

it a great gun and I like shooting it a lot. Accurate, smooth and reliable. I only have a owb holster for it and it seems ok for normal carry. I do t think the Romeo takes away from its concealability.

Brubz: Yes, to be shipped to an FFL (gun shop or an individual with the 01 FFL license) in your state - without a doubt.

Gunbroker sellers will normally ask your gun shop to send their FFL data to the seller, in order for the seller to verify that their license is legitimate, but also for the correct address.
If you buy from an individual seller, it might help to notice how much feedback they have (is it A+?), and see that they have sold a few guns. They should reply to a question as soon as is practical, and are always glad to answer any question.

Somebody out there - has anybody here Sold an item on GB? - can add to this, or can better explain or correct my memory. :)Be very clear and simple in communication, to avoid any vagueness or appearance of deception.
Every GB seller I've dealt with (VZ-58, Mini 30, Sig P228, Walther P99 etc) was either a professional, or processed gun deals in a professional manner . No sweat.

Sorry about the delayed response, I just saw your post.
Here in SoCal the BPS had a 90 minute wait just to get inside, then it took another 90 once I was let in to go into a back room (their training room?) and get the clerk to fill out the paperwork and the boss to ok it. All this just to start the ten day waiting period. That was 3 hours...

The second time there to pick it up had no outside wait. However they only had one person doing the pick up paperwork. It took another hour-plus for the 20-something guy buying a pump shotgun to go through his paperwork and safe-handling demo and get the boss’ ok. Then it was my turn. By the time I was all done with phase two of the process, nearly two more hours had passed.

The staff was great, they are just hamstrung because of their internal processes. Literally five hours of my life spent standing around simply to buy a shotgun has soured me on BPS forever. :fire:

When I do a GB auction or on-line purchase and have it sent to my local FFL I’m in and out in under 30 minutes... unless he has some cool stuff he’s working on to show me and we chit-chat.

Stay safe.
It's got to be a California thing Rio at the BPS here in Cincinnati I was in and out in 50 minutes and that included some time I spent looking for a gun cleaning kit. On the other hand Cincinnati does not allow strip clubs so it all evens out

Dunno, but that could be a big part of it.

All I can say is it was really disappointing, to say the least.

Stay safe..

This list was fun to read through and it made me look back to see how many I could remember
I started 2020 by buying and old cj3a to work on but on to the guns
Sig 320 x five legion
SW 500
Remington 700 in 30-6
Ruger 450 bushmaster to hunt with
Winchester 30-30 golden spike
Winchester 30-30 gold Texas edition
Winchester 30-30 nra edition ( all three form a collection NIB)
Kimber rapide in 10mm
And my new trap gun
Caesar guerini summit trap combo
And almost forgot, 14 ar15 lowers for future projects and another much larger safe
I think that is about it.
My wife did get me a shirt that says “I promise only one more gun”. It only took 15 years of marriage. Now she just rolls her eyes when I walk in with one.

I feel so less guilty after reading this thread.

Tons of nice guns here.

2020 started with me getting my retirement gift from the crew transferred into my name, Browning A5, 12 ga. Tricky. Asked me if I could buy any gun I wanted, what would it be? And I thought they were gonna buy me a Treager.

Savage Weather Warrior in .243 as a new yote gun.

Then a Ruger LCP .380 cause I needed it.

lastly a Marlin 1884 in .357. Again cause I needed it.

And well over $3,000 in components to keep everything running.

If a 3" USPS Ruger Speed Six SS 357magnum could be found cheap, I might bite on it. Occasionally i've seen sellers who didn't.know what they had but some bidders did. Otherwise, I'll spend my cash on components to reload and feed the revolvers I have.

Compared to a few of you, I ain't bought nuthin' :D in the last year. Since I retired in August of 2019, I've bought 6 S&W revolvers (M28-2, M48-4, M57, M58, M29-2 and M66-1); two 1911's (Springfield EMP4 and Ruger SR1911), and a CZ side-by side 12 gauge shotgun.

I need to get a move on.

Do understand. COVID plus wife fell and shattered a knee and broke arm in same side. She's in a rehab and I can only go see her twice a week.
Thumbing online TOW had a nice unfired New Englander 50. The our tiny town gun show found an unfired Navy Arms Buffalo Hunter 58. Both decent deals and well I just couldn't resist.

Glock 44 and a Browning A Bolt. The G44 was the last thing on my must have list so I made it happen. I have a few "wants but I feel pretty much set for this dark period that is upon us....
