Nah get a pellet rifle. Big difference in my book. Bb guns are for kids pellet rifles are for use adults. And I have both. BB gun for my daughter pellet rifle for me and my son.

Been shooting only 22 for the last 5 years, learned a long time ago the shooting skills acquired will carry over to larger calibers. And I have an air pistol.

I was looking at the ruger Hawkeye pellet gun. I'm guessing since they were quite popular before the rush on ammo they might be expensive or hard to find. Not certain. I know I was watching some videos a while back, definitely fun rifles and with a lil tweaking can be powerful and accurate

I have been mostly shooting 22, but I also picked up a couple Beretta copy bb guns and a cheap pellet rifle. My son and I have been having a ball in the backyard!

Don’t see many adults around these parts using pellet rifles let alone BB guns.
I have a .177 ruger air hawk and a .22 Benjamin Vaporizer.
The jury is still out in the Benjamin.
The air hawk was mediocre until about 500 pellets were run through it. Now it's a squirrel killer to shoot 30 yards.
Jump onto the airgun forum sometime. Alot of us enjoy pellet rifle and BB guns. Some of my best shots where made with a Bb gun. Grandpa was trying to shoot a wood boring caterpillar out of a old oak tree. When I got off the bus. Tried for 30 minutes to hit it. I got it first shot. And the time I popped a squirrel out of the top a pine tree. BB guns have also taught my kids how to shoot. And taken more squirrel then I care to count.

Did you mean pellet rifles are for use BY adults? Or did you mean pellet rifles are for use ON adults?
Last summer, I loaned my Sheridan Blue Streak to a buddy of mine that lives in a small town a bit south of here, and had a squirrel problem. I think he mostly used it on adult squirrels.
Just kidding around Meeks36. Both of our daughters and all three of our grandsons grew up (AND learned a lot about safety with firearms) shooting BB guns, as well as pellet rifles and pellet pistols in the back yard. Dandelion puff balls make great BB gun targets from the rear deck, and shooting them helps with their proliferation.

I like to pop off and smack my dumpster and .22cal steel poppers/spinners now and then, I've actually made some pretty impressive shots with a pellet gun, I just don't care for shooting critters unnecessarily as I get a lil older and those were the more challenging shots. My pellet rifle sucks though. I want an Air Hawk or something halfway decent. Possibly a C02. I have heard of people using air rifles to take deer. Crazy. Yeah I've skimmed a few Airgun forums, those guys are just as fanatical and technical as guys on "real" gun forums...
Pellet gunning is a real thing. Olympic sport too. You can easily drop more $$ on a competition pellet rifle then a rimfire or centerfire rifle. The discipline of follow through on a pellet rifle or pistol is so much more important then with powder burners. And the targets get real at 10m. This target was a 50ft rimfire but is basically the same, center DOT on bullseye 7 is the 10 ring.
