When is a Remington Model 11 not a Model 11?

I have a model 11 in 20 gauge. I works just fine. I sure would like to find a reprint of the blurb sheet that is pasted on the inside of the forearm. It deals with the placement of the friction rings and load strength as shown in one of the pictured above. My shotgun never had that info sheet installed. Anyone know where I can download the blurb sheet?

Google is your friend. :)

And here is an old ad comparing the 11 with the Sportsman. Notice the difference in fore ends. The barrels will interchange.

It is curious why they offered a 2 shot tube version when a plug in the regular version would have sufficed. The tube lengths are the same. The recoil spring and rings are the same. I mean why redesign the tube, forearm, end screw/knob etc? I've compared The Sportsman with my Savage 720 and it weighs about the same unloaded.

As I said before the recoil springs and tube length is the same but the fore stock and the way they are held on is different

The cool thing about them it that you can add Rem 870/1100 extended mag tubes to them to increase capacity.
The down side to that is you are limited to the short ones because you can't use a barrel clamp.

How about when it's a Stevens 755A?

I put a Remington 11 firing pin (flat style) in this one that I picked up cheap. Going to test fire it tomorrow.

Ever watch someone fire 3-gun with a 10 shot extension and no bracket? They bounce all over. Obviously extending one past the muzzle without a bracket could be dangerous. Bouncing one off a recoiling barrel doesn't sound like good practice to me. If one doesn't mind the barrel and extension dinged up, I guess to each his own. I'll stick to 5. I did take the rather long plug out of the one above. I don't hunt waterfowl anymore.

Well, obviously someone thought it was a good idea LOL.

Jeezly crow. Y’all never heard of a Rhodie?

FN was apparently agreeable enough with long extensions to produce around 1000 of these for the Rhodesian bush wars in the 60’s or 70’s. Supposed to be 8+1. How ya like them apples??
